Probably a silly question... would have thought it would have been under 'Score Tools' but I can't see it.. How do I reset all scores?

ztempuser 11-27-2005 06:04 PM

i installed it, following step by step
and when i go to the page i get

seesoe, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

lol what could have caused this? i could not find any permission options?

ConqSoft 11-27-2005 06:06 PM

AdminCP -> Usergroups

amykhar 11-27-2005 06:09 PM

It was my understanding that when I installed this, the old games from the 3.0 version would not be lost. All of the old games are gone from the database. The ibpro upgrade worked better than this one. No scores or games were lost from the old version.

Now, I get to spend hours trying to reinstall all the old ones. Great.

Did you look in the usergroup manager where permissions belong?

You need to allow guests (unregistered users) to be able to see your arcade via the usergroup permission section of the admin cp. That will allow the license on http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/verify.php?do=check to verify that your arcade works

I did remove the 2 database entries like you said. I don't know what i did wrong.

You removed those fields before you installed rather than afterwards, right?

There's an arcadeimport.php in the AdminCP directory that you need to run to pull the games in.

Did you run the admincp/arcadeimport.php ?

I'm stuck on this as well.

I have counted about 6 posts that refer to this error that have not yet been addressed. Is this being looked into?

paulmjno 11-27-2005 06:17 PM

I added a tournament, 4 players, and in the bottom right hand side it says:

admin (Paul)
has played 0has played best result:
0

RS_Jelle 11-27-2005 06:18 PM

Good job, but maybe you can make it w3c compliant, there are A LOT of errors in the xhtml code :ermm:
Most of them are very easy to solve ;)

Not until somebody mentioned it here. It wasn't mentioned in the install directions.

Will do, I'll take care of that shortly. In these early stages it's a matter of "if it works it's fine". :)

I know I should be asking this at v3arcade.com, but since no one over there seems to know what the problem is, I'll ask here.

I tried to add new games via the "get games" tab on v3arcade.com. When I did, I got this error at my forum:

XML Error: unknown at Line 0

BLAH!

Anyone know what the problem is?

Guests can see the arcade and my url is good, but the license can't be validated :s.
Other people are having problems with it too (@ v3arcade.com)

paulmjno 11-27-2005 06:36 PM

OK, here is a roundup of the errors I have found so far.

In the Arcade, PM popups do not work. (I feel this is rather important, especially seen as the Arcade send out PMs.)

Tournaments: In a 4 player tournament (and maybe others), the text in the last "box" is incorrect. It shows: {user} has played {games played}has played best result: {result}

A few users have reported the Arcade logging them out after they have submitted a score.

ANY HELP?

When you imported the product XML file, any errors?

Zachery 11-27-2005 06:37 PM

John,

While I really like the arcade, you've left your users with such a hard upgrade path.

You could have at least provided a proper upgrade script to get their databases preped for the new installer. or an upgrade script that took care of this all together.

For your product file you should do a check and report back that the database is not yet ready for the install s it contains old data, instead of just running querys all wildly at them. Then we have a failed product import, etc.

Yep, I know - I'm working on the next release now which will take care of everything by itself without any hassle to the user.

Are you still installing templates to the set default template set? I'd never got that far into the product installer...

Or are you now actually just installing templates into the master set with the arcades product id?

AlexUK 11-27-2005 06:41 PM

I have a ton of games from the old arcade, how to add them to this arcade?
I tried via admin panel and it ignores the games, anyone?
