I have the same problem. AnyMedia BBCode won't play YouTube Videos.

maybe is a browser issue... I have not tryed this in Internet Explorer, just firefox..

So I installed the hack but like several others I can't get it to work. All I see is the text like this; [MEDIA]http://www.mysite.com/file.wnv[/MEDIA] . I think my issue is with how I am installed the new custom BBCode. Here are the values I am adding

Title: AnyMedia
Tag: MEDIA
Replacement: [MEDIA]{param}[/MEDIA]
Example: [MEDIA]URL[/MEDIA]
Description: Blank
Use {option}: No
Button Image (Optional) : Blank

Any thoughts?

My youtube, and flv videos are now playing fine, I suppose that vsocial will play too, because they three are using the flvplayer.swf

I think there is a problem with the flvplayer.swf because I replace it with another one that I downloaded from one page, and now it plays fine

just turn it on by selecting yes...........choose what option's you would like, like autoplay, etc........and you are done.......nothing really to do after you turn it on........

I like to know something, might be a dumb question, but:

when this hack is installed and a tag used to display media from a foreign site, is the content directly served from the foreign site to the user, or will the content first be send to our own site? In other words, will it cost us bandwidth?

AFTER you turn it on..

you need to go and edit permissions..

once you do that it will work..

Install.. Turn On.. Edit Permissions...

As I said before, I upload another flvplayer.swf instead of the one that Crist shares. Whit the new player all the videos based on flv format (flv, youtube and vsocial) are now playing fine with [media]url[/media]

then go and edit all the usergroups if you want some not to allow it to work or what not

If google banned your ip, just turn it on.

Ok, with the latest version, my YouTube and Google videos are working, but there seems to be a problem.

I have the NO AUTOPLAY option selected and it works for the Google videos. But YouTube and VSocial videos, continue to autoplay even if NO AUTOPLAY is selected within the option.

I just found out that .wmv and other video files Autoplay in Firefox while they don't in IE, and the problem still remains with YouTube auto playing no matter what browser you are using. Crist, please acknowledge this problem - thank you.

To resolve having to do this for each Usergroup I set the default to "0" in the .XML such as:

This way I can choose only the Usergroups I want whereas all other Usergroups have been disabled.

All problems with autoplay (Google/Youtube/Vsocial & wmv on firefox) were fixed.

1. Upload & replace the "clientscript/anymedia.js"
2. Re-import the product xml.
