Thanks Ran, your doing a great job on this, especially with support.

Hey,

Please remove:

PHP Code:

include ("global.php"

From your install/uninstall code. It is redundant and creates unnecessary problems. Thanks. Otherwise - great hack. :)

M_OReilly16 04-25-2006 03:16 AM

ok ,this is going to sound stupid, I'm still new to vbulletin, but as an admin, when i click on upload image, i get "you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. "

Any ideas as of why this is happening to me as an admin? lol!

AdminCp > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Administrator > Near the bottom you will see the settings for the hack, make it so it is viewable to u, do the same to any other usergroup you want to see it.

sorry wrong thread

Codeman05 04-27-2006 09:33 PM

any possibility of adding a feature to limit the amount of disk space a group can use. IE: Registered members get 10mb of storage, but Moderators get 30mb

well do you want it to be set for each user or each group ?!

TomasDR 04-29-2006 10:12 AM

Great product, recent install.

I did see you answered someone's question about a watermark feature. Will be looking forward to that.

Also as a suggestion, the addition of a setting to use GD's convert feature to change the quality and/or size of a jpeg, many of my users like to upload straight out of a camera. That's great if you are planning on printing the pictures on glossy paper to put in a picture frame but anything over a 3 on the jpeg quality scale is a waste of space when viewing it on a monitor.

One more suggestion, allow admins to see which pictures are set private/public. Maybe in the AdminCP. Also the ability to see all pictures without having to input an user's name also.

headshotx 04-29-2006 06:43 PM

This mod can upload images to http://imageshack.us ??

Exitilus 04-30-2006 01:04 AM

When I'm in admin cp and I click "View members images" or "Rebuild thumbnails" Nothing happens. The page doesn't change ..... It just stays on the page it was originally on.

Last week it use to go to just a white page.

HKAndrew 04-30-2006 04:01 AM

I assume you need to have GD1, GD2 or Imagemagick to use this ?

jadkar 04-30-2006 04:02 AM

Very strange .........

Everything uploaded fine. However, when I try to upload an image the screen goes blank. No biggie, I'll just load the new "vbimagehost.php" file. So I do that and it's the same thing. But, when I hit the back button and then view "my images" it looks like it tried to upload. I see my picture info but the image is just a dead link (red X).

It doesn't seem posible that I missed anything...... there's not much to the install

Any suggestions????

Thanks :)

jadkar 04-30-2006 04:14 AM

^^^^^

Forget it ..... I Fixed it. I missed the step at the end of the "file uploads" which says to create a folder to store the photos in. :cross-eyed:

are you sure you uploaded the correct file in the admincp

in the zip file there is 2 files called vbimghost.php

one in the forum\admincp folder
and one in the forum folder

each have it's own function you must upload the one in the admincp to your admincp directory and the one in the forum in your forum root directory

installed. Great mod.

Is there a way to link this with subscriptions. LIke have registered users have to donation an ammount and then when they do that they get auto permissions to upload a certain ammount of images?

I wanted 2$ donation for registered users per 5 images to cover transfer costs which seems reasonable.

I do something like what you want to do, what I did is made usergroups.

Example:
Pictures25 (allowed 25 pictures)
Pictures50
Pictures100

Then made corresponding subscriptions that when subscribed to they are made members of those groups since this product's permissions (upload slots, max images) are set in usergroups.

there is something wrong with your GD library ?
did the system administrator change anything

my advice is to contact your Host and ask what was changed for GD support in php

no there is nothing wrong with the Database ..
but you can try to check if it's really becase of ecdownloads then you can disable the hack ..

though that it's not releated to ecDownloads but it's releated to GD library in PHP

gothicuser 05-09-2006 07:05 PM

We been using both together (ecDownloads and Image Host) for a while without any issues at all.

hilfe-forum 05-10-2006 11:47 AM

First THX for this great Hack and Sorry for my bad English...

1. is there possible to make a link in postpit_legacy Templat like "my Picture" so that in every User Post is a link to the public Picture of this User...

2. take a look http://www.hilfe-forum.eu/vbimghost.php?do=userlist

Picture without Username are from Guests but Guests don't became a link to show here Picture....
Is it possible that Guests make a quick Register only for the VB image Hosting

like here:
PicTransfer.de

3. Pic host for guests is a top way to Promote a Board.

But it needs that the picture when it post in an other Forum and someone click the Picture that the User see that the Picture is hosting on my Board...
Possible to show the Picture (full size) in a html or php page with Promotion to there Board were the Picture is hosting?

Yes
just do the following
in postpit_legacy
Find
Code:

<div>
                                        $vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]
                                </div>

after it add
Code:

<br>
<div><a href="vbimghost.php?do=viewimages&id=$post[userid]">$vbphrase[vbimghost_menushimg] </a> </div>

and it should display what you want

i didn't get what you mean
if you want to show a user name guest for people who didn't register
modify the code in vbimghost.php to the follwoing :
in line 239-240
find
Code:

while($row = $db->fetch_Array($result)){
                        $vbimghost['username'] = $row['username'];
                        $vbimghost['imgcount'] = $row['imgcnt'];
                        $vbimghost['userid']=$row['userid'];
                        $vbimghost_usersbit.=eval('$vbimghost_usersbit .= "' . fetch_template('vbimghost_usersbit') . '";');
                }

replace with
Code:

while($row = $db->fetch_Array($result)){
                        $vbimghost['userid']=$row['userid'];
                        if ($row['userid'] == 0 ){
                                $row['username']=construct_phrase($vbphrase['guest']);
                        }
                        $vbimghost['username'] = $row['username'];
                        $vbimghost['imgcount'] = $row['imgcnt'];

                        $vbimghost_usersbit.=eval('$vbimghost_usersbit .= "' . fetch_template('vbimghost_usersbit') . '";');
                }

this will be added in the next release
