Well it works for all vB versions now, and some style elements/colors are more like the messenger.

It doesn't do anything to your hacks or tempates, it's just a css style :)

Of course i recommend a backup anyway.

Is there anyway to change the text on mouse-over?

Like on default vb skin it changes to red on mouse-over?

Sure,

In admincp go to: "Style Manager", next to the MSN style, choose "Main CSS" from the menu

Now, in the body block you see "Hover Links CSS"

Use Font Color: #FF4400 or whatever color you like. :)
