The lite version of this mod has the following:

Minimum Posts To Send PM's
  • On/Off globally in acp settings.
  • Setting for minimum posts in order to send pm's.
  • Excluded usergroups from minimum post count.
  • Staff usergroup setting so if user has not reached x posts they still should be able to send pm's to staff groups if so desired.

For some reason my registered users usergroup pm blocking is not working but it is working for other usergroups.

Being handled on the DBT site, since you double posted the issue. Also you have the Pro version, so that is the proper place to get support.

Chris

I understand but it's much easier to post here. Regardless, posting in both places helps those here see any issues and also gets your attention. So, since I have the pro version I posted where you asked and I see no harm in informing users here as well of what may be an issue and one I am experiencing.

I think you should be friendlier especially to paying customers. I feel like you try to discourage support.

It wasn't Chris's intention to be unfriendly; he made the statement so people wouldn't think your issue was being ignored if it wasn't replied to here. Since you double posted he also let you know that the pro support forums is the correct place for your issue. Double posting usually indicates users aren't quite sure exactly where they should be posting their problem.

Sorry for any confusion the post may have caused :)

Obviously I knew the support forum was the correct place since I posted there so why tell me what I already know and already did?

Considering this thread exists here it is valid to comment on the product in the thread for said product is it not?

Regardless, non-issue and no big deal I enjoy the product just want all the features I paid for to function is all which is why support exists.

Generally if someone posts in several places, it's because they weren't sure what the correct one was and they wanted to cover all of their bases. The vast majority of pro customers only post in the pro support forums. If someone posts in multiple places we let them know what the correct one is, just in case they were unsure.

It is valid to comment, but please be aware that due to vbulletin.org rules we cannot actually discuss or support the pro versions of our mods here on vbulletin.org.

I'm glad you're enjoying the product, hopefully my posts clarified the response you received :)

I understand the vbulletin.org rules and that is why I posted on your forums as requested.

I also feel that vbulletin.org is a place for admins to discuss modifications and how they affect their board so anyone downloading modifications to their boards should be aware of potential issues users are having. If issues are only posted in one spot away from here that does a disservice to everyone.

Regardless, all bases are covered and I am enjoying the product which is why I bought it :)

Respectfully, I disagree.

The Pro version may have issues unique to it (features not found in Lite) - additionally, since issues are answered at our forum, users may get a false impression that we are not responding or handling the issue in a timely manner.

Giving people the impression we are not providing support is doing them a much bigger disservice than alerting people that there may or may not be an issue with a feature they don't have access to, wouldn't you agree? :)
