The benefit is to encourage new members to be in the top posters for example. As you know, if my forum is 5 years old, the top posters will stay there forever. Same for other options.

4.0.2 patch has been posted in the 1.post. Just download and reupload it to your site.

And remember I don't give any permission for anybody to re-use and re-post the code.
