We just switched to another server, it's up on our end and hopefully the dns is resolved on everyone elses end :)

Site Name: Truck Mount Forums

URL: www.truckmountforums.com

Description: Truck Mount Forums specializes in providing carpet cleaning equipment information and resources for carpet cleaning business, carpet cleaning marketing and cleaners worldwide. TMF stands out from the default version of Vbulletin by using a Facebook style (modified) with a more modern look, easy to navigate and easy on the eyes. We are also the only forum using Vbulletin in the cleaning Industry that offers a video network (vbtube), blog, discussion forum, photo albums, store and much moe. This is the only forum in the cleaning industry that has embed videos from all networks into the threads, iTrader, video network, 1 click send PM/Email, not using VbAdvanced but the frontpage looks like it, Gaming Arcade, Latest Sports/Weather on frontpage and much more.

Reason for Nomination: Truck Mount Forums was established May 2008 and since then we have grown much faster than expected with reaching out to 1,970 registered members and 11,000 monthly readers. Our #1 goal is to become the largest social network for cleaners worldwide. I have yet to see any Cleaning Forum nominated on Vbulletin and this would be a pleasure to have our forum up there! :)

Thanks for the team here at Vbulletin.org for making such a great resource site! If it wasn't for this forum, my forum would not be as successful as it is today!

Site Name: DIY Projector Kits - Your One Stop DIY Projector Shop

URL: DIYProjectorKits.com

Description: A One Stop DIY Projector Shop - DIY Projection Building including the new Luxim Plasma Light engine. Why buy commercial when you can learn how to build and fix your own projector? We also deal with custom home theaters, movie/game reviews and any other DIY passion you might have.

I have been administrating DIYProjectorKits.com for almost a year and a half now and and feel that it has come a long way. We have incorporated Ustream.tv into our portal page and have our live chat also coded in. I feel that many people would like the clean design and overall look of the site. I try to keep the code and components installed to a minimum but also make it very robust for our clients. I have been with Vbulletin.org now for a while and feel that there is great code and mods to help all of the learning and experienced admins out there...keep up the good work everyone! A description of what is offered on the site follows.

This is the place where you can learn how to build your own DIY LCD projector and enjoy the Big Screen Experience without the big price tag. A DIY Projector can be built for the cost of a replacement bulb in a commercial projector. We are THE site on the internet offering a "One Stop Shop" for the DIY projector community as far as professional information and in stock top of the line DIY Plans, parts, and kits. We also carry a selection of LCD panels and controllers. Stop by our new robust forums for everyone to share their thoughts and journeys with DIY LCD projectors. There you can ask other members questions and find your answers! Alot of our content is going to be offered there. Our registration is going to offer many great things that other sites you will come across regarding DIY Projectors will not be able to match. (contests, give aways, coupons, LIVE CHAT SUNDAY NIGHT, Tech Support) If you are brand new to the DIY scene welcome, we are all here to help everyone grow, if you are a veteran builder looking to show off, lets see your stuff! please join us!!!

Reason for Nomination:

I feel that nominating DIY Projector Kits would be an awesome reach for the home theater and DIY projector enthusiast to find out what is offered for them. I feel that through Vbulletin.org and some great motivation and design this forum is a great place to visit and I would love to see a reach to the community out there to see how a nice site can come together and not look like every other site that offers a forum. You can still incorporate great clean design with a lot of information for our community. Thank you very much!

Reason for Nomination:
It's more then a forum, more then a site - it's members call it home. The whole site runs on Vbulletin, its extremely customized.

I second this - There is loads of cool stuff on it and what looks like a lot of work gone into customising it

Description: Soulcalibur (Soul Calibur) for the hardcore enthusiast! A Tournament Competitive Community for the Soul Calibur series. 8WR is the home for the English speaking competitive community for this popular fighting game. With members all around the world; gamers get together to share ideas, strategy and good ole' competition. We are also the forefront of the Soulcalibur IV National Tournament series and supply event planning tools to tournament organizers.

Reason for Nomination:
  • Fully skinned interface (multiple skins available). Each skin has custom header images; when you first visit the site, your header image will be randomly selected based on a character within the game. When you visit any character specific forum; the header image will be forced into the header image for that specific character. If you go to the Talim forum, Talim will be in the header; If you go to the Cassandra forum, Cassandra will be in the header, etc... With an account, you can even bypass the random selection and decide which character you wish to show by default.
  • In depth video directory. I am the author of the Video Directory Remixed mod; so you can pretty much guarantee that I make use of it. The video section has videos from tons of players, including match videos for money matches, casual matches and even tournament matches. Some players have even uploaded combo and training videos.
  • Weekly Online Ranking Battles. While the majority of the community cares little for online matches (we are a serious community, and online battles is to say "less than serious"); we still offer weekly tournaments through the online networks of Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. Players can also challenge other players; as well as TEAMS, to ladder matches to improve their rank.
  • In depth move list WIKI. While the Wiki is still incomplete (since the competitive community gets ZERO support from the developers at Namco Bandai); all the information in the wiki is being discovered and implemented by the users. So each day, new information gets added to the wiki and soon it will be a central information cache for frame data and move lists.
  • Event Forum with RSVP.
  • Java based chatroom.
  • Arcade with 20 games.

Description: Cell Phone Forums is community for cell phone enthusiasts. Active forum discussion about Cell Phones service providers and Cell Phone Manufacturers
Reason for Nomination: Cell Phone Forums is a highly customized site that has been online since 2003. Over 50 vbulletin.org plugins have been tastefully added along with custom modifications and theme that completes the user's experience.

The Cell Phone Database is unique to the site and fully integrates into vBulletin. This systems helps users with the same phone models connect as well as identify new phones that meet their needs.

Site activity has been increasing steadily since it's inception. With the help of vbSEO, the site is highly optimized and in Dec 2008 a new record was made for unique visitors. Currently, the site has over 170,000 members, 160,000 threads and 770,000 posts

Both seconded.

Site Name: Olympusclub.pl
URL: http://forum.olympusclub.pl

Description:
Photographic club for Olympus camera users in Poland.

Reason for Nomination:
Would like to show off something little different. We are focused on photography, and have tried to show it in functionality.
Forum layout was adjusted to fit Portal skin, two different photo galleries and mediawiki script. After transition from phpbb we managed to bridge Joomla, vB and Coppermine Gallery. Now we have very functional combo not overloaded, supplying our club mates all important functions. Unfortunately it is only Polish language site. But you can still see five different color styles, integration and simplicity.
Just tell me it was worth of doing it.

Site Name: Social Space

URL: http://www.socialspace.co.uk

Description: Social Space is a community of disabled people & carers who just want to chat and have fun with others.

Reason for Nomination: Social Space is a friendly community like most forums BUT we have a statement for our users that sums what Social Space is all about.

Please leave your wheelchairs, frames, support dogs, crutches, gizmos and what nots at the door as we are all about FUN at Social Space and we DO NOT focus on the disabilities but rather the abilities!

We are ranked number 1 for search terms such as "disability chat forum" "disability chat community" and ranked in the top 10 for "disability chat"

Social Space has many pages of information for disabled people and many pages on general health matters. Social Space is a place where disabled people and carers can relax and forget about their problems and enjoy the community spirit.
