yes, thats the way i'm getting it for my add-on

thanks so far I have the bar done, working on what else to add so it more or less worth installing, thinking of adding the users PM box info in there so they know if they have new messages, a link to there profile, a link for there user cp, and a link for members page.

Hey I need some input from the users, is the drag and drop think also wanted for the links? Any input on the standard links would also be cool if anyone would like to see something in the bar for quick access.

and the ability to add your own icons/links with maybe admin section to post url to image icon and url for link... or just a way to edit the html to add that...

ok so it will be template based right now I'm working on the drag and drop feature for the icons I'll jack the facebook icons for now so i can get the tool tips to work right.

As long as the area is editable with HTML, that would be the biggest thing. Thanks for all your hard work. I plan on adding this to my site.

Any word on if there will be a common chat room for all users to join into on top of 1-on-1 IM?

1 on 1 I think is more important. There are plenty of regular chat rooms out there. I think facebooks is 1 on 1 too only...

I dont know if face book does this but maybe add on or even build in to this we can have a actual chat that you can open/close by clicking?

I mean make it a full chat/ instant messenger package maybe.

Make the chat able to be sized in the admin back end and have the ability to use the instant message feature for one on one conversations like face book.

So a member can look and see:
New messages in the chat room, then they click chat and it opens to the size the admin determined lets say 300 X 300 and then the member can chat in the chat.

But then they can say of i want to tell joe something that the whole room does not need to know ill use the Instant message feature.

I hope this all makes sense some what.

Definitely. I think a chatroom for all + 1-on-1 IM would make this an amazing addition to any forum.
