MicroHellas, thanks for your reply. I am fully aware that vbNews and vbArticles are commercial add-ons. Actually I am evaluating a good articles management system for my Urdu forum. I really like the way vbNews present lead articles, feature articles and links to different categories. Ideally I would have liked the article system to pull its content from designated forum posts, i.e. any post marked as news. Also I would like to put more control in the hands of the moderators, i.e. I would like moderators with the right permissions to decide which news goes into the lead position and which becomes a feature articles. I am not under any pressure to finish it soon. That is why I am first doing research on article management add-ons for vBulletin. |

I m having admin permission on my board but still i can't delete a user's posted article from vbjournal on my site.
I have checked my usergroup permissions and all of them are on yes. still can't delete a user's article. Some users posting same article in different sections. Please help me out of this. And when you are planning to upgarde this wonderful hack. |

I can't delte articles from vbjournal when already am havin all the permissions on YES. If u delete ur own article jorunal won't confirm it. Last nite i incidently clicked on delete instead edit. And the article is gone..... There is no way to find new articles posted on journal. U can't make every jorunal as breaking news, editor choise or important. There shuld b a function or feature from where a user can have the list of new articles since his last visit. I m not sayin that vbjournal is not worth anything. This is a wonderful hack to have. And i can see my users posting new articles everyday. And it's really great thing if u want enhance ur search engine rankings. But plzzz release the new version soon, atleast with basic features. i m not askin for features u have planned for later versions. Thnx. |
