its pretty simple...

search for advertise template, and look for and change it for or more friendly.

note you have to change all off them, there is several options in there.

There are around 5 or 6 changes to make:

go into Styles & Templates, click on search in templates - enter $$vboptions[price_
The template to edit should come up. Click to edit.
Enter search in template - to highlight each entry

Then enter a ? in replacement for the first $, as follows:
?$vboptions[price_

How do you enter the paypal button?

Create a new button over at the paypal website.

It was suggested that I check out this hack here because I want to begin selling ads on my site. I read the whole thread. I also followed a link and read the thread of a nearly identical hack on vBHackers.com.

This hack was posted January 2007. Nick's hack on vBHackers was posted July 2006.

I don't think there's a rule that hacks have to be posted here. Maybe he likes it better over there. In fact, he seems to have his own hacker forum, vBNova.com, where his hack is also posted. Maybe he doesn't want to spread it too thin.

There's nothing disgraceful going on unless someone copied another hacker's work. Since most people downloading hacks don't really hang out here all the time, I'd guess, if they're anything like me, they don't know anything about either guy. All that seems to be apparent is that neither one supports their hack very well.

Nick promised an enhanced version about a year ago. It's still a no-show. vietfancy states this hack won't be supported and he hasn't offered any since January, even though he's been on the forum recently.

I won't be installing either hack on my site. I don't support hackers who don't support their work. It's not a good idea to install something that you can't fix and/or modify yourself. I'm not looking for immediate gratification, I need long term satisfaction. I owe it to my members, my associates and myself.

That step will add a link into your navigation bar for the advertising page that you're creating.

BtW, this hack is great and I'm just trying to 'spiff' it up a bit and get my webshot of my site right now. But, nice work. :)
