Display a message/announcement... cheat = banned from arcade - simple!
If they like playing the games then play them... don't cheat, remove all high scores you think suspect and carry on old boy... just warn them first, then ban... not everyone will cheat of course, so just get the twits first... it'll calm down i hope :)

Ahh...well...yeah. I guess i'm going overboard, but I'm pretty upset right now. I use this thing for tournaments with winners that receive giveaways. I think that's why I'm most upset. Looks like I can't do that anymore...

Please tell me how to cheat. My son keeps beating my high score on a certain game...lol

Anyway, what I came here for. There needs to be a mod added to this. I have 3700 games in operation on my forums. As I add them a few hundred at a time, I find ones that dont work. Since I am the admin, on each game page, there should be a link there for me to easily remove that game if it doesnt work properly. I tried searching around, but didnt find a hack like that already.

One little issue.... if you have a couple thousand games installed, makes it a pain viewing a persons score list..

eg: arcade.php?&act=Arcade&module=report&user=#

This needs to be divided up to show a choice number of scores per page. If you get too many listings on one page, you just get a blank white page when you try to view it. I initially thought I had a corrupt game causing it, but came to the realization that it's actually too many listings. Increasing the various php limits overcomes this... but still, try loading the scores for for a person when it is listing over 3500 games on a single page.. By default, it should be 50 per page as a quick arcade.php edit if anyone can do that... thanks.

See http://myschooltalk.com/arcade.php and try to click on a persons high score listings, and you get a blank page. As far as I can tell, it's because too much is trying to load up. Happens after around 2000 games are installed.

On another note, it would still be good to have a quick link for a forum admin to have when viewing that says "uninstall this game" direct from the arcades view or a game's page.

I set the permissions in the AdminCP to only allow Registered Members who have a minimum of 15 posts the ability to play in the arcade, but anyone can play games, regardless of their post count (I was able to play with my 0-post test member account)

I also can't find this file, and I'm looking through the original zipped files before I uploaded them. I do have a showthread.php in the root forum/, but it does not contain the code mentioned. Also, I went back all the way to 3.6.2 and I can't find functions_showthread.php

Because it's really nice when you can simply purchase packs of games all ready to go in the arcade (swf, images, php install file, etc, etc) and simply hit "install all games". You arent paying for the games. You are paying for the convienece of them being pre-packed for you for easy and errorless install.

Or, you can spend weeks going around, gathering up games, and installing them one by one, and making sure you have the two images each, plus set the width/hight of each game to fit your forum.

You are paying for a service, not the games. I have 3500 games.... trust me, I would have rather paid for prepacks. That was an aweful experience doing it all myself..lol. Theres no way I would just "give" it away..

Which would you prefer? Paying for a prepack? Or doing it all yourself?

the v32/v33 games come along as reday-to-install TAR archives, just upload, click INSTALL ALL and you're done

to be honest, I am currently in contact with somebody providing such multiplayer-flashgames and I am implementing this, first multiplayer-game will be some texas holdem poker - but will be feature of v2.6.3+ as I want to launch v2.6.2+ before *pssssst* :D

i still don't understand how to download pnflash games and use them....i don't see where im supposed to download well the multiplayer games

there are instructions for pnflashgames included in the archive :)

my users are loving this addtiiton to the website, my only problem is I cannto find any casino games that actually work, any suggestions as where to find some poker and casino games?

for some odd reason, i have vbadvanced intergrated into my forums, when ever it goes to add a score it seems to double up, like have the menu bars and part of my forums in the window and the arcade stuff all off to the side, its hard to describe so i am linking a picture, it has just recently started to do this after i had upgraded versions of VB.

i upgraded to a new version of vbcmps and it still is broken like it was just it is better resized in the window =x and it only does it when you get to add a comment, once you hit save it goes fine again.

edit: also been looking around for something that like V3 arcade has where when you make a post on the forums it shows what games you are champion for, i can not find this for ibpro arcade.

I am noticing my members are telling me that when they play longer games (pacman, tetris, etc), they are logged out due to inactivity and their high score isn't submitted. Right now, I have my setting set so that users are automatically logged out after 5 minutes of inactivity. I temporarily raised it to 30 mins, but I was wondering if there is another way to prevent this problem and still keep the 5 minute rule. Thanks.
