There is an option for that, you have to allow unregistered to chat through usergroup options, then you have to set an option to ask guests to input a username.

Either through the /showban command than open a page to let you do this.
Or with the /unban command (see help inside the chatbox for more info on its syntax).

Thanks for the support but it seems that i got some problems with it and database error, first it makes forums not showing the last post made by last one who posted in threads, is showing only the starter // and second it gives error when i try to validate post or threads in admincp ( error on mgc_evo line 1 ....etc) Uninstalled.

The bug for validation in admincp is a known bug I have to correct.

Regarding the other problem you are the only one that reported such issue so far.
Can you post an exact screenshot plz ?

Hi,
I uninstalled this because my users were not using it, but I've run into a problem.
When I go into my usergroup permissions, the chatbox options are still there and if I try and save any changes I get a db error.

How can I completely remove this from my forum?

I'm having an issue with links being parsed with something to the beginning and treating everything as relative links rather than absolutes. for instance... if in the chat I post

http://www.yahoo.com

in the chat it's displaying www.yahoo.com

but clicking or hovering over the link shows - http://www.forextips.com/forums/www.yahoo.com

please help.

That's a known bug, It's correcting in upcoming version (somewhere end of week for the release).

You're posting the url with the http and it prepend your forum url ?

Are you seing the same thing elsewhere on your forum like in posts if you set it to automatically parse links in text ?

No, I am not seeing the forum url being prepended to the links in other places on the forum. This is only happening on the chat box.
