@VBDev

Any eta on when the '@' tagging will be fixed for the chat module? (for pages not included on the forum)

VBDev 02-13-2012 11:00 PM

Wasn't aware it wasn't working.

On which page are you getting the issue ?

I am going to fix this in the next release.

Cl?ment

I'm getting the error while in our Analyst on Demand room. It's not a forum page itself it's a separate page that visitors go to, to watch analyst and chat with other traders.

You said another user reported this as well. Back on Page 519

Refering to a page is not an accurate way as it depends of the post per page setting and as a matter of fact mine is higher, i only have 391 pages here ;)

Anyways, I answer incorrectly as I didn't understand correctly. An user reported me a bug on the chatbox full mode page.

That page of yours is made with own code right ?

@ VbDev...

Hi m8,

I seem to be suddenly having a permission issue since the last update...

The notifications set as melted within chat are only showing for admins ?

I have not changed any permissions and they worked before and i have checked the permissions and the "Can see the notifications in the chatbox (threads, posts, ...)" is enabled for these groups..

Is this a bug or have i got to change something else ?

Schoelle 02-15-2012 02:32 PM

@fookaa: It is a bug and will be fixed with the next release.

Correct, we are using it on a page other than the forum. The @ tagging worked flawlessly before the last post and now does not... I'm just wondering what changed and maybe we can fix it on our end.

Well that's not the case at all, it's the fact that staff can't even view the code to verify a number of things... quality, security, and countless other aspects. We are actually in the process of updating the Rules page to include:

Quote:

13: You may not post any plugin, product, style, or other code that is encrypted in any way. All code must be visible source.
Now despite the fact it's not stated there currently, as far as I remember from when I first came here encrypted code has never been allowed at all, maybe it was a chat I had with ex-coordinator Marco at one point or in the forum itself when someone else posted a inquiry however it's officially not allowed.

With that said VBDev please be so kind as to update the modification to remove the IONCUBE encryption from all files and re-upload the mod. I do understand that might take a little time so I have no issues giving you until next Thursday to do so however after that day if not done I'll have to graveyard the modification until you have time to properly update it for release here. Thank you so much for your understanding and I sincerely hope you plan on updating it accordingly because I've always enjoyed this modification myself and know a few others who have as well ;).

Sincerely,
Mike

Hi,

Rules weren't stating it officially so I couldn't now.

I'll respect the rules and do as you ask before the deadline.
