Hello, I logged onto my forum last night after a long day of work, and found out that my forum's modification vBShout was turned off by a fellow admin because of fighting. Today we resolved the problems and I discussed with him ways of keeping it up, and we came to an agreement. He's always wanted to shut the shoutbox off, and now I think something needs to be done.

I logged onto my forum moments ago after getting home, and I found out that I cannot even edit the shoutbox options via VBulletin Options in the ACP. I get a 404 error that says:

Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forums/admincp/options.php could not be found on this server.

But I have the file on the server. Does anyone know of any way I can fix this? Also, anyone know of a way if I can find out what caused this? Thanks in advance.

BTW, for reference, I am using vBShout 2.0 and vBulletin 3.6.8

Also, the shoutbox just shows the "Loading..." text.

I installed shoutbox and I can seem to find where to configure it or even where it shows in the forum

It should show default on the forum home page. If it dosen't you did something wrong, be sure to check vboptions.

thanks for the fast response it turns out my template didn't display it in the position I had it, didn't now to look in vb options once there I just changed the location and it was all good.

Check the option in vBoptions and view the shoutbox.

our hosts have manually disabled our vbshout.php file as they claim it is the cause of performance issues with our server and other?

I cant see how this could be, our shoutbox is used on our webpage and only viewable/useable by about 30 people at a time since visitors cant even see it ?

Ive already disabled anything fancy like html, smileys , etc .. and we have had no changes to our site in some months - the vbshout stuff has not altered in some years on our site.

Im still waiting an explanation from our hosting on this - but what could make them think its that file?

how to change the date format in the vbshout 2.0?

I want to show only the hour and minutes, not the "5 mins ago 12:23" i want to show only: "12:23"

Whats to do?

Search for vBshout on all pages and may have to do some minor tweaking after that to just add the arcade on there.

I need some help,a few of my members are using the [img] tags to post external pics in the shoutbox,I want to disable BB code in the shoutbox,but I dont see an option,the only option is to disable both BB code and the smilies together,but I want to be able to allow members to use the smilies any help appreciated
