Can you please post the modifications you did?
Thanks!

The video importer no longer works. It says The response of the video-server can't be read.

Anyone have a fix for this?

Yes, could you be so kind as to share the modifications you did?

Thank you

BlackxRam 06-07-2015 09:20 AM

Information on the youtube changes would be a great help if anyone can chime in :(

stranger2156 06-07-2015 11:48 AM

Support Data API V2 completely disabled on YouTube. Is not there anyone who can write a patch for Data API V3?

attroll 06-11-2015 07:35 PM

Has anyone had any luck in getting this working? I need to get this working again.

Bastien 06-11-2015 08:07 PM

I will have to try it :)

Thanks for sharing, don't know if I'll use it, but i'll try :)

Why is this happening error

blind-eddie 06-24-2015 11:22 AM

Ok ladies, I requested a fix for this in the paid section and struck a deal to fix the youtube portion of this. It was fixed overnight, waiting on email.
I will share with you all the edits needed to fix the youtube portion of this as soon as I get the email.

blind-eddie 06-25-2015 02:37 AM

The fix for this is attached to my post in the 3.8 version of this addon.
It is just a php file so I would assume it will work on 4.0 without issue.
Please read my post and the readme.

Thanks for sharing. But there is no class_youtube.php in VB4.2.2

Tried - not working in VB4.2.2

blind-eddie 06-25-2015 05:01 PM

I don't use 4.2.2, sorry. I figured the php files were the same, sorry.

waldvb 06-28-2015 12:44 PM

I think you're using Video-Directory Remixed for VB3 - not Media Library for VB4

waldvb 07-02-2015 02:17 PM

I think - it's official - this mod is dead.

Any ideas for video gallery?

EuroBeat2 07-10-2015 02:55 AM

So, did anyone was able to find the fix for VB 4.x? That would be highly appreciated. Annoying, that I know longer can add video with deadly massage: Could not parse media URL.

I run 4.1.10 version.

He was able to fix it:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....postcount=3080
http://nodakangler.com/forums/media.php

Unfortunately - no response from him.

blind-eddie 07-12-2015 02:52 PM

Is the fix you are after just for youtube vids or for all hosters?

Well, I am willing to help get this addressed but need to know exactly which hoster is not working.

Nothing works here - youtube, vimeo and the rest of hosters. Could not parse media URL.

Youtube and vimeo are most important to fix.

BlackxRam 07-14-2015 06:15 AM

Youtube I think definitely is the first choice to get fixed. Thanks again Blind-Eddie for being so helpful.

The only problem with YouTube, because the new API service. On Vimeo there is no problem.
blind-eddie, thank you for your desire to help.

This mod is not designed initially for your version VB 4.2.2

This mod was working on 4.2.0; 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 - for some time - till now. (Google and Vimeo were OK). With a few modifications.

I think you don't have this mod installed on 4.2.2, so you don't know what you're talking about.

BlackxRam 07-20-2015 08:43 AM

Yes the issues are with youtube primarily because they changed the way their API service works.

I hope Blind Eddie is able to find some answers for us common folk :)

blind-eddie 07-20-2015 02:01 PM

Well, I would love to be able to fix this for you but, I paid to have the 3.8 version of this fixed so myself and the other 3.8 community members could use it.
I don't use vb4 and cannot see me paying to get it fixed. I received a price to get it fixed but decided against covering the cost.
If any of you would like to contribute to cover the cost to fix it, I will be more then happy to give you all the coders contact info.
I hope you all understand.

blind-eddie 07-21-2015 09:34 AM

The cost to fix is not bad. If any of you want to help cover this, pm me and I will share the emails from Ali with you.

BlackxRam 07-27-2015 06:52 PM

Not sure if it is worth it to fix it. I've been trying out this new Media Gallery here on .org @ https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=319444

Pretty solid so far. Perhaps people needing a new gallery might want to check that one out.

I agree, VERY SOLID, and he provides great support. Please donate to help him further development! I'm loving the gallery! very clean!

It's true, that YouTube Data API 2.0 was depreceated and you can't add Youtube video to the library now. But you can make a hotfix without getting the API-key and moving to API 3.0. It will work for the title, description, thumb and video itself.
  1. Make a backup of your media_service table (don't forget about prefix if you use it);
  2. Run the query:
    Code:

    UPDATE media_service SET svcFeed = svcURL, svcThumb = "$meta['og:image']", svcTitle = "$meta['og:title']", svcDesc = "$meta['og:description']" WHERE svcName = 'YouTube';
  3. Run the query (optional for Vimeo, cause its API does not work for me, either):
    Code:

    UPDATE media_service SET svcFeed = svcURL, svcThumb = "$meta['og:image']", svcTitle = "$meta['og:title']", svcDesc = "$meta['og:description']" WHERE svcName = 'Vimeo';

Hi. Tried.

Still not working for me.

Here is media_service table before

Attachment 153123

and after:

Attachment 153124

I didn't run the query. Just edited that table for youtube part.

Is is correct?
