im getting an sql error when anyone tries to use the ignore command:

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'mgc_cb_evo_ignored' in 'field list'

I had an older version of mgc but unistalled it prior to installing the 1.1.0

Del fonts & size !!!!!

Login to your Server Control Panel or what you prefer to use and check what Modules are loaded for your Apache Webserver.
Also ensure that in your Browser JavaScript is enabled.

Which fonts & which size ? Do you want to change the Font Size or the Fonts and the Size of the Chatbox or .... ?
The size of the Chatbox can be changed in your Admin Panel, you can even change the Font's.

i seem to recieve alot of Error 2006 emails regarding this chatbox, does anyone wknow how to resolve this?

Unfortunately, this does not stand in admincp, I would want one in shoutbox neither fonts nor size can select. However, I simply do not find stupid code

That might be jquery compatibitiliy between mods issue.

I got this installed without a hiccup and displaying perfect on my page.

However.... I get the infinite "Loading" text and the chatbox never finishes loading.

I am using vB 3.6.6 and have tried viewing with both FireFox and IE with the same results. Please help, this looks like a WICKKKKKED good mod, just gotta get it working right.

Opera is not a "standard" browser. Check in both IE and Firefox. Look in the error console. It's gotta be templates.

Ok got my problems fixed.....

The Loading problem was fixed by modifying and deleting the "" around the 0!

So it looks like:

Hi,

the chatbox seems to work, but there seem to be problems with the IE.
You can't close the box, and if you click the BB-Code and the smilies, you can use the functions but errors are shown at the button left hand (a yellow warning triangle). As mentioned above, we can't close the box at all. I don't have any problems with FF and Opera. Can someone help me with the problem? I use vB 3.7.4and the Chatbox 1.1.0.

I had to translate your image since I don't speak Turkish but I think I figured out what it is you found...LOL

The chats running horizontal in Firefox and not displaying in IE was caused by "Add Template Name in HTML Comments" set to yes? I don't have it installed the moment to test it but that makes sense...I did have that enabled. Great find!!!


Edit: I tested it and that was it!!!

i still have the loading problem now. I am running3.6.7. After entering something and pressing send, it just disappears and is still loading?!? Please help.

I do not recommend this shoutbox at all. The features are great but uninstalling it isn't an option and when I tried it killed the forum completely. Not worth it

That is something not, at least polite, to say. U have it installed since first edition, installed and uninstalled several times and did no harm to my forum. You must have done something wrong, but even wronger is to say that this mod kills a forum.

Is there going to be an option to open up a Private Message channel like with the Inferno Shoutbox? I PM a lot of members through the shoutbox but It gets rather annoying when I have PM's popping up in the middle of conversations. I would appreciate it if they popped up in seperate channels.

I don't recommend you talk or eat but that doesn't mean others need to listen. ;) It's an opinion.

Anyways, if you read the readme file it CLEARLY tells you how to uninstall. And EVERY person that had issues including you didn't follow those instructions. I know this because I've installed it on about 2000+ sites for people including uninstalling, troubleshooting etc.

Reinstall the product, FOLLOW the readme, and it will uninstall fine.

It takes me all but a few minutes to set this up on any site and 100% work. And I'm not the developer. I just like the product and offer support freely. If you want help, ask. I can get it working for you if you want, just pm me info like ftp and forum account and I'll help.

And the reason I support it so much, is every forum I have it running on, user impressions (amount of time spent on forum) more then doubles. People went from a few minutes to hours.

Becareful when saying that you can't close the chatbox.

There is an option that set the number of posts to be shown when the chatbox is collapsed. So it means that shouts will still be shown even if the chatbox is "closed" unless you put 0 in that option.

This time add the save/restore/backup feature ;)
