isn't on the search.php page there a way to have it search the articles too, is this a hack?
|
Ok, WTF is going on with this hack??? On John's site somebody has defaced the articles posted, all the support threads have been removed, and earlier today on this forum there was security fix for the article hack that has mysteriously disappeared!
Please do not just delete my post without some sort of PM or explaination as to why. If this hack has security bugs people should know about it! |
Important Security Fix - Please download the attachment 'Articles-permissions-fix.txt' created by Paul M

hmmm... Ok great, but what happened to the original thread Paul posted?

Most of the "fixes" in this are large block replacements of code - this is not because large amounts of the code have been changed (most of the original code is still there unchanged) it is because there are many small additions and changes to all the sections to fix the holes, and there was no way I was going to list every single one, it was easyier to just list them as block replacements. As I also said in the original topic, v3 Articles is not my hack and I am not supporting it - I will try and answer questions about my fixes (only) if I can, but at the end of the day it's your choice as to whether you use them. Make sure you backup your existing articles.php before you make any changes. FYI: All these changes have been working on our site for the last few weeks. |
Is it still imposible to move articles from one category to another?
