I changed it to false and characters still didn't work for me so I changed it back.

I don't know if it will be dangerous, which is why I asked myself. It doesn't parse HTML or anything, but I still don't know if it opens up anything to hackers. I've had it this way for a few days now and everything still works.

hi...is there a way to prevent any members using this ( /me ) to this shoutbox???

if they use ( /me + message ) their username won't appear but only blank...and the message will appear like this

*username + message here*

Currently, our shoutbox is not blocking any censored word that we have stored in the admincp.

How do i fix this error?

We have had a problem with vbshout 2.0 and I will like to know if someone have received the same kind of advice from their hosting, and if the updated versions don?t have this kind of problems.

The thing is that my hosting (www.siteground.com) wrote to us and told us there was some kind of mistake with the script of the forum, and that there were continous errors with our site. The message of the error was always of the same kind:

We suspected that the error was in the shoutbox, and so we deleted it from the forum. INstantly, they replied that the error was fixed and the limitations were removed.

But would like to have a chat in our forum anyway, so we were wondering if the updated versions you have released will not give us this problems.

I`m sad :mad: The shoutbox is not running proper on my System. I can only shout when I use the font Arial or Arial Black and when I choose the option button for fat, kursiv and underlined...

What is here the problem? Help me please...

i think there is a security hole. 2 of my forums just got all shouts deleted.

such an easy installation, I love it.

btw is there a list of all the Staff in shoutbox commands that work on it anywhere?

/pruneshout [shout] - Deletes a single shout
/prune - clears all
