In Admins panel... Try this

Settings -> Options -> VSa - ChatBox, and in the options put,
"Date format (blank to disable)"-> %d-%m-%y or %d-%m (not show year)
"Time format"-> %H:%M

I have it working great on the forums page and the activity stream but I can't seem to make it work on the content.php page.

Settings: VSa - ChatBox ->
Show ChatBox on pages (comma separated THIS_SCRIPT locations)
Blank to show on all pages (not recommended because of server load)

or blank to show to all pages.

Yes, I have mine set to.... "index,content,activity". It works on the Activity stream and forum page but not on the CMS content page.

I wonder if the setting... "Show ChatBox in templates (comma separated template names)" could help me? Currently I have it set just to... "FORUMHOME". Is there a template I could put in there to make it show on the CMS?

Just discovered there's a particular User Group that can only view the Chat - not post . Anyone else experienced this - Nothing obvious can be gleaned from settings , either UserGroup or Chat .

The chat box has stopped working on my forum and is logged off. Nothing on the forum has been updated or changed, so I don't know what has happened. When I click on any of the options on the chatbox it takes me to a forbidden page.

First line on the options page, add the php file name(s) you wish to show the chatbox.

That's not a very fair statement to make...just because you are having some issue with it doesn't make it a bad product overall. I have used this product from vB 4.2.0 all the way through the latest vB 4.2.5 with no issues. :)

Complete nonsense. Valter was among the very best vB4 coders and most of his mods, even those which are now 7 years old, still function perfectly well.

Edit: Solved the date & time issue, just setting &d-%m-%y and %H:%M ... Updated the xml Spanish translation. I will continue investigating the problem with smilies icon ....

Edit2: Everything is working fine now, just copying the removeformat.png & smilie.png to the server at /images/editor

I have in running on several instances of vB 4.2.5 :)

I use PHP 7.0.25 and vbb 4.2.5
First time it running ok. Later it warning error by PHP.

I haven't had any issues with it on vB 4.2.5 running PHP 7.

Thanks MarkFL. I reinstalled it again and run ok. Maybe I installed a few mod then caused errors for Chatbox.

I am having issues as well none of the messages are loading I just get "Loading messages" and nothing happens :(
