I just did a test with what is stated in the instructions

http://www.yorkietalk.com/index.php?page=links
I also tried
http://www.yorkietalk.com/adv_index.php?page=links

and I don't get the center block with my info (which I put in index_links and uploaded to my server)

Any clue on what is wrong? Thanks for your help! I love my front page now!

What do you mean by edit the index template? My regular index works fine, I just fail when I try to add additional pages powered by vbadv

http://www.yorkietalk.com (front page works fine)

:)

yes, Zachery, I did do the index_links like I posted above. I just don't understand why nothing is coming up. I didn't do any other mods to adv_index that I can recall...

Stupid question:

ChrisMJ 03-02-2004 07:41 AM

ok people i need your help. i have vbadvanced set up and its been runnin smoothly -but recently it will not want to load - http://www.pcgamesonline.com/swg/ is the forums and then http://www.pcgamesonline.com/swg/adv_index.php is the homepage.

can anyone help with this?

Also anyone up for helping me getting a skin made.

fasteddie - Did you create a new template called index_links, or a new file (as you suggested above)? You should create a new template that contains the information you would like to display on that page.

Assault - I'm not sure what you mean... The vBa Homepage I'm running on both of my sites only has the latest threads sections...

MaDCaT75 - Those are in your main styles section. You just need to change the image paths and be sure they point to the full URL to the folders.

ChrisMJ - Did you receintly upgrade to a newer version of vBulletin? If so, upload the advindex_install.php file to your admincp directory, go to it in your browser, and then select the option to install only the templates.

Thanks for the help Tigga. I did figure out I needed to create a template instead of a file. :)

However, can you tell me how to get the blue header box and the text box for my text on this page?
