I followed these steps, in the file there are 12 instances to replace; but the difference is now the date changes to show %d-%b-%Y ; but I cannot view the date correctly.

Did you try remove & re-installing the mod. If still the problem exist, post screenshot here that how you want.

You must replace all d-m-y.
Even the lines with:
dateline- d
dateline- m
dateline y

Et cetera.

It was a lot of replaces i know, and searching also.
Just start at the begin of the xml and look at every line to a d, m or y.

Hint: Do you have a chatbox? Than look in that date setting to make it working on your site.
