Hello all,

the <loc> problem with sitemap index file has been fixed (vBSEO Sitemap Generator 1.7 will be released soon).

All your individual sitemap files (those including your URLs) are stiil correct though.

you can insert it right after "RewriteEngine on" line.
It should work either way though. :)

Yeah it must be a new google thing because I'm getting it too. :) I really WISH there was a way for me to be submitting sitemaps with the rewritten URLS. I tried to buy vbseo a long time ago but every time am told that my site doesn't meet their specific guidelines. I am coming out with a new site www.youradultworld.com soon which is a site similar to adult friend finder. I wonder if that site will also not be allowed.

Is there any talk about removing this strict guideline?

Hello All,

a new version 1.6.1 of vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator has been released. This is a quick-fix for the sitemap index file parsing problem reported above.

The new major release 1.7 with many new features will be available soon! :)

follow the readme and that is the way to keep your thing and update the hack :P
