What do u mean by manually loaded ? I normally just use the mass import which is what it was designed to do

TRa5H 05-15-2008 03:48 PM

oh i upload each game itself . so each game comes with its .swf file.. i dont only have the games form the v3 i have flash games from newgrounds and other developers.. my question is how do i find the name for scoring the game?

I installed this mod https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=103920 and i have been uploading the .swf file and .jpg where they go to my forums.. and well they run fine. but what i am having problems with is setting up top score names.. like the name to link the top score on the site.. cause well i have been naming them the same as the main file? and it recommends that!?

if anyone could help that would rock!

msimplay 05-15-2008 04:38 PM

It doesn't matter even if u add a game manually it can't be just any old game. The game must be designed to work with either v3arcade or Ibproarcade to play with scoring

I personally download games from http://www.ibpdownloads.com/ipb/index.php?act=idx

and I have installed a modification to make v3arcade work with a lot of the ibpro v32 games

forte 05-17-2008 06:30 PM

Does anyone have the ibproarcade to v3arcade import script? Cant download it from the v3arcade site because it is closed.

cortinator 05-20-2008 12:24 AM

ugh.

I installed v3 Arcade on my forums the other night. The only problem is, is that the images aren't loading. I checked the settings. They say that the images path is:

Quote:

/images/arcade
The full URL path is:

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Ignore this, I just figured it out. Slash in the beginning. Silly me xD

auz1111 05-22-2008 08:33 PM

Does anybody know why I am seeing this at the top of the arcade?

Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of [runtime function name](). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. in /home/.mona/auz1111/schiphop.net/arcade.php on line 107

Thanks for your help

Jase2 05-24-2008 01:37 PM

Does anyone know if this works with 3.7.0 ?

Any security issues ect. ?

John3971 05-24-2008 01:44 PM

I used it on 3.7.0 and i had no problems with it.

FishMRC 05-25-2008 02:30 PM

I'm looking at adding this for our full members, but have some concerns over the amount of bandwidth that it might generate?

Anyone have any ideas what I could expect?

Thanks
Fish

Jase2 05-30-2008 12:32 PM

So, is there going to be an update for this?

John3971 05-30-2008 12:52 PM

Well over at v3arcade.com it says it closed until the new version is released but this seems like its a abandoned project.

dartho 05-30-2008 01:10 PM

John will be back. Time works differently for him than it does for the rest of us.....

Jase2 05-30-2008 06:00 PM

Dartho, any ideas when he will be back ?

I want to install this, but unfortunately I cannot installing something that appears to have been "abandoned".

Jase2 06-01-2008 05:28 PM

Are games for this only available @ http://www.v3arcade.com/ ?

dartho 06-01-2008 09:25 PM

check http://www.vbulletingames.com/forums/

Mario.D 06-02-2008 11:08 AM

If you install this mod you can use most of the games from the "other Arcade".;)

It may seem abandoned, but there is still huge community support for it and the mod itself is extremely stable and well-coded.

As has always been the case in the past, John will randomly reappear with a new version touting new features which will immediately bump it to the top of the top mods list - again.

Anywhere else to get games?

Zacarias 06-04-2008 09:51 AM

I noticed this: Developer Last Online: Jun 2008
But, hasn't posted since May 07.

Does this mean that this software is officially abandoned? I paid for the no branding, and I think I at least deserve a word on the future of it.. Maybe a mass e-mail to everyone who registered on v3arcade.com saying "ib pro arcade" or something to that effect to get the message across.

I like this better than ib pro, and I paid for it, so I'm going to leave it installed for a while longer. I just don't think it's right to keep your customers in the dark about the future of a product they paid for. (especially since it claims to be "supported")

Jase2 06-06-2008 05:28 PM

It would be nice if John popped in here and gave us a quick word--I guess he's just busy.

This is how John always supports his mods. He bursts onto the scene with something cool, swears he's going to support it, and then leaves for extended periods of time. It's been this way since I've been here and probably before...

kes 06-11-2008 06:40 PM

Can anyone help with this..

ive installed this add on just fine, but i want guests to be able to play aswell.

but they are getting this message

"you need to have a reputation of at least 0 points. Your current reputation stands at points"

I thought setting this to zero in unregistered guests permissions would allow them to play - am i missing something ?

kes 06-12-2008 11:07 AM

Hi all,

getting another issue when unregistered users finish the game, it gives them a database error as below. (i want unregistered to be able to play so thats ok)

Invalid SQL:
SELECT arcade_sessions.*, user.username, user.arcadeoptions FROM vb_arcade_sessions AS arcade_sessions
LEFT JOIN vb_user AS user ON (user.userid=arcade_sessions.userid)
WHERE arcade_sessions.valid=1 AND arcade_sessions.gameid=139 AND ()
ORDER BY score DESC, arcade_sessions.finish DESC
LIMIT 10;

MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')
ORDER BY score DESC, arcade_sessions.finish DESC
LIMIT 10' at line 3
Error Number : 1064

I fixed it this way
In arcade.php, find:
PHP Code:

$vbulletin->userinfo['posts'] = 0

Below it add:
PHP Code:

$vbulletin->userinfo['reputation'] =

This one I have never seen before. It seems that it will occur when a guest plays and there is no score since before. When you have one score this will not be a issue any more.
But I guess it could be fixed this way:
In arcade.php, find:
PHP Code:

        $scores $db->query_read("SELECT arcade_sessions.*, user.username, user.arcadeoptions FROM " TABLE_PREFIX "arcade_sessions AS arcade_sessions
        LEFT JOIN "
TABLE_PREFIX "user AS user ON (user.userid=arcade_sessions.userid)
        WHERE arcade_sessions.valid=1 AND arcade_sessions.gameid=
$game[gameid] AND ($scorecache)
        ORDER BY score "
iif($game['isreverse']==1'ASC''DESC') . ", arcade_sessions.finish DESC
        LIMIT "
$vbulletin->options['scoresperpage']);

and replace it with:
PHP Code:

        $scores $db->query_read("SELECT arcade_sessions.*, user.username, user.arcadeoptions FROM " TABLE_PREFIX "arcade_sessions AS arcade_sessions
        LEFT JOIN "
TABLE_PREFIX "user AS user ON (user.userid=arcade_sessions.userid)
        WHERE arcade_sessions.valid=1 AND arcade_sessions.gameid=
$game[gameid] " iif$scorecache"AND ($scorecache)" ) . "
        ORDER BY score "
iif($game['isreverse']==1'ASC''DESC') . ", arcade_sessions.finish DESC
        LIMIT "
$vbulletin->options['scoresperpage']);

Servo 06-17-2008 07:21 PM

Ok, so maybe I'm blind, but I am having a tough time finding games. Can anyone direct me appropriately please? When I go to v3arcade.com all it tells me is the following:

We'll be back with a new Arcade release for vBulletin 3.7. :) In the meantime, head over to vBulletin.org for downloads of past v3 Arcade releases.
Where do I find moar games? :D

actually forget this. After much testing it was severly messed up. I took the plunge and upgraded / converted to ibproarcade - MUCH MUCH better system and over 5000 games to choose from.

Plus it has a TON of support and is up to date with vb 3.7.1

http://www.digital-forums.com/arcade.php

FTW !!!!

Zacarias 06-22-2008 05:51 AM

Uninstalled. Hopefully if a release comes out, I'll switch back. But until then..

I refuse to go to ibproarcade. I will if forced, but for now, v3arcade does well even this old version. I like it's light-weight backend, attractive templates, etc. ibproarcade is quite ugly.

tseketto 06-27-2008 10:42 AM

Hi! I have no error message when I try to import zip file.

If I press tar import, I lost my all uploaded zip file.

PHP starting like:

Code:

<?php
/*======================================================================*\
|| #################################################################### ||
|| # v3Arcade Game Installer/Uninstaller - version 3 - April 21, 2004 # ||
|| #################################################################### ||
\*======================================================================*/

// ######################## SET PHP ENVIRONMENT ###########################
error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);

// ##################### DEFINE IMPORTANT CONSTANTS #######################

and end:

Code:

        print_description_row("Removal Complete! (PLEASE DELETE THIS FILE.)");
}

/*======================================================================*\
|| #################################################################### ||
|| # v3Arcade Game Installer/Uninstaller - version 3 - April 21, 2004 # ||
|| #################################################################### ||
\*======================================================================*/
?>

I have the latest arcade and vb 3.7.1.

Ideal Web Tech 06-28-2008 03:08 AM

John will be updating this. It usually takes him a bit but he always comes thro. If you look on his site he has closed it down like normal to work on the new release for 3.7 same as he did for 3.5 and 3.6.

mugz 07-01-2008 09:45 AM

Hi I have just added this to my site and it all seemed to go ok but when trying to access it I am getting this message

Quote:

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
When checking the setting I cant see anything that would cause this message?

You need to set the permissions in the arcade menu.
