my user wont change his name tho so his lose ..lol
but this has been reported to the developer but nothing as of yet implomented in update

I would not give your user a choice. Make it part of the forum rules retroactively.

Certain special characters just shouldn't be allowed in names anyways. Really, I'm surprised vBulletin allows this by default as these special characters can cause a number of database issues.

I agree. I wish I knew how to make vBulletin not allow non-standard characters.
