I have to say something:)

I was one of the ppl, who are saying in public that there is no support for this hack, and start a prive talk with john in the V3Arcade Prive Messages, that it ended unfortunately in "banning" my account by John(i think so, as i cant login there 2 days now!).

I also want to say, that i dont write the following, so i can unban my account there, as i own an Internet Cafe here in Greece, and for me its very simple to login from different ip and see the site.

I started yesterday, reading all the posts of this thread, and managed to see everyone till page 120.

I saw, many ppl be like me, with brighter example someone called "Nikodemeus" but i realised something after i managed to go to page 120.

This thread, last updated by john(i mean the first one), late of August and till page 120, i saw him reply to many many posts...As i saw, the most posts were said the same time, all over again...To give u undestand what i am saying, i was also trying to install last nights(and everything went smoothly) and i was having some "questions" about the hack but as i was reading, all of my questions..where answered!

The installation guide is very clear, and the answers of John are also, very helpfull..

I agree, if i werent saw this thread(i mean all the pages as i saw yesterday) i maybe were like Nikodemeus or others, who are saying that John is not supporting the thread.

A good solution, could be a good Q&A with all the common questions(like I use PostBit Legacy but i cant see the info in my users posts and all that(i know the answer, i just said an example!), so ppl who dont want to search, see the answers there.

As i see it now, john yes agreed to reply to the thread, but he is having other jobs as well....so its up to him..Also he said he is working in Arcade Pro...And i believe him so...My only argument there, was to just say a date that he will release it, so ppl who are not installing this hack, dont wait and procceed with the install(as i was like that!).

Anyway, i repeat i dont do this post, to lick John or something like that...I can go to V3Arcade easily(although i prefer to be unbanned) but i just felt i had to post the above.

So Sorry if i was negative or rude...

One question - can I install this version on 3.0.1 or will I have a lot of problems?

I have v3.0.0 and I just put in a new default style for the board. But when I did this http://www.mc2g.net/personal/underavatar.jpg came out under everyones avatar, and its misaligned too. Is there anyway I can remove that?

I have read over 30+ pages of posts, I see there are over 188!!! so please be nice if this has been addressed before.

I have installed this hack on a clients site. It worked just fine, UNTIL I started to add more games. Get this, Now only some of the games work, others just show a blank square.
He's running (vBulletin 3.0.1) I would like to update him, but the previous Webmaster hacked his poor site to death. I've managed to clean allot of it up, but I really don't want to update him and have to reinstall all those hacks.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi all, I have a handfull of members that is receiving a no permissions screen when they attempt to play some games (the games vary) and on other games they can play but when it comes time to submit score they will get permissions message.

I have checked his permissions masks, the arcade permissions, the user group permissions and all is correct there....I didn't think it would be the user group permissions because others can play that are in same user group, but I double checked anyway.

I had them clear cookies and cashe this problem still happens.

I went through and triple checked that the changes to files were correct as well.

I don't know what else to check...any ideas?

BTW: AWESOME MOD this is!!! My community loves it!

Okay. I'm having a few problems here. I don't see anything to manage the arcade within the administration panel, and also, I get this error when I try to access "Arcade" on the quick links page, actually, I get this several times:

Could anyone help with this, if so it'd be greatly appreciated!

Can you open the functions.php file ans see what line 2861 says, and post that. Will help figure out why its acting up.

UPDATE:
I believe my problem is in my tables, it seems that each game has a certain number. I believe that when I added the new games, the original game tables where damaged/overwritten. Sound possible?

Also, is there an easy way to delete games? "Nevermind, I found the UNINSTALL MOD on the website"

I have reinstalled a few games, some are starting to work, other are not yet.

You may want to go through your file edits again, and make sure you added the New Phrases as well.

I have gone through them several times, and I have added all of the "new phrases".

oh, i forgot to ask you...where would i put that so it appears on the dropdown menu? that would be the best option, imo.

All the games work now, what I did was make a GAMES foldes in the /FORUMS area, now all 77 games work just fine.

Heres exactly what I see, and as far as I know, Ive followed the instructions on how to install the arcade on a different style.

First I modified the install_arcade.php file by doing this: (The ID of the new style is 10)

The arcade is working fine...excellent hack!! but I noticed that the drop-down menu displays 'behind' a game (see screenhot)...any ideas how to fix that??

if there is no userid there's no highscore id to set. The problem is unregistered users playing your games.

I don't see how that is happening. You have to be registered to play in the arcade and it prompts you to log-in or register if you try. I posted the "unregistered" one that was sent to me, but it seems like it is going right down the list of users in no particular order.

To install on a different style, make that syle a child style of the dfault one, that way any changes you make to the default one will change the child styles ;)

Someone might have bookmarked a game, and not have been logged in.

I keep getting this error:
I removed the 2 IP numbers so he doesnt get disturbed.

Some people are having the problem that the highscores aren't updated on their forums. After some candlelight debugging via email I found the fix for that:

In Arcade.php
Find:
Replace with:

I also have the vShop installed, can anyone tell me if there is a hack/mod so that users can win vCash by getting a top score?

I'm not talking about the Arcade Pass hack, more like the oposite, so they get paid to play, rather than have to pay to play?

You could probably still use the Arcade Pass hack...just set the cost per game to 0 and the jackpots should still function.

Some people might find this file useful. Its an XML file with all of the Arcade templates in it, you just append it to existing Style template and it will add the arcade template, useful if you've got lots of forum styles like mine!

Right now my arcade has 122 games all on one page. How can I get them listed maybe 15 games per page???

You must have already edited the setting for it to list 122 on one page.The default is 10.

in arcade.php look for: $perpage = x; (replace x with 15)

The original version listed them all on one page. There's a pagination mod out. I'll see if I can find the link for you.
