I use javascript for my username markup,

However this does not work with the shoutbox, as soon as I load the page it turns into a white page (disabling the shoutbox and using it on pages without shoutbox works fine)

Any idea how I can make this work on your shoutbox?

I would recommend asking the developer of whoever made the markup script for assistance first and foremost. It's probably a jQuery conflict due to the markup script using an old version of jQuery.

For the record, posting support tickets @ our site has a much better response time than here @ vBulletin.org :)

The problem is with your rainbow code, not this mod, so unfortunately not. There's nothing we can do on our end.

Generally speaking, if it's not written in the changelog, it probably didn't change :)

I just downloaded the chat and I love, but there just one thing. I search the thread for a way to remove the active user tab, but it was said that it can't be done (quoted above back in 2013). I'm assuming that it still can't be done, but is there any way to move it? So that it comes before the shoutbox tab or after other custom chat rooms?

there is an issue with the member milestones, sometimes a milestone is repeated a lot of times in a row

X is user 10,000
Y is user 10,000
Z is user 10,000
...and so on

*edit : just a guess, but might be due to multiple users registering while previous users have not yet confirmed their email

That is exactly it, yeah. At the moment, it excludes users from user groups 3 and 4 when counting members. So if you delete old, inactive members and/or move them into one of those groups regularly, then this will throw off vBShout's counter.

The most reliable way of replicating the issue is to refresh the screen yourself on my website and you'll see the shoutbox says "loading" 3-5 times out of 10!

I'm assuming your techs have already inspected PHP's error log, as well as Apache's error log, and verified there are no entries from their IP addresses related to vBShout?

I can't install it. The 'class_install.php' is not located in the Zip File. I saw someone else had the same problem and you told them to unzip it using WinRAR. I have winrar and I tried re-downloading it.

Hello, this was working fine until I changed servers and domains, now I receive invalid message specified when I try to shout or edit, but I can delete shouts. Thanks in advance. I have tried uninstalling and deleting all files, and reinstalling, but no luck

I checked now roughly 100 pages in this topic, and searched for what I would like to know. It has been asked multiple times, and EVERYTIME the developer has replied to everything else, but an answer to that question.

And I use the Lite version. Even in the features of the Lite Version, it says that I can at least edit my shouts, yet i find no such thing. What am I missing ?

Android emojis are working in posts ans thread but not in shoutbox.

3 byte emojis work in sb "☀️" but 4 byte throw "" invalid message error.

Any pointers ?

Hello i just upgrade my forum to vbulletin 4.2.5 and installed the ultimate version of shoutbox bot it does not work.
The shoutbox is showing up but in the message area just stay with "Loading..." and nothing happened.

Hello i just installed vbshout 6.2.18 to vbulletin 4.2.5 and installed the shoutbox does not work. My server is CentOS7 with cPanel and Apache 2.4. The shoutbox is showing up but in the message area it just says "Loading..." and nothing happens. Can't shout to anyone. It just sets there.

Any fix to solve it?

Guys I am having trouble with both DBTECH VBshout and the thanks mod since I upgraded to 4.2.5. Everything worked fine up until then. Now they both seem to have the same problem ...nothing happens when you click shout or thanks. I uninstalled, reinstalled, tried everything. I should also mention that since VB 4.2.5 requires php 5.6 I also upgraded my PHP version.

I disabled all of my plugins, still no go.

For anyone else with this problem ...simple fix. Do a search in the template you are using for "jquery". If you find any with versions less than 1.7.1, change them. (mine was in the headinclude template)

So what I did was I changed the 1.5.0 to 1.8.0 and saved the new template. Then I tried to install the xml and it still wouldn't work.
