How do I sent up an exchange "store" so member can exchange credits for services?

the store addon is being made called vBCommerce. You can try IShop in the meantime? Or do it manually

I am trying to set up a referral system, so how does one manually or automatically receive credit for referring a new member? If it's manual, where does the referee type in the user name of the referrer so they get credits?

Hey Dark I just installed vbcredit I also wanted to change credit to some other kind of currency. I am confused as to which 'credits' phrase to change...is it in admincp or is it the template codes in the text file. If its the code in the text file I basically rename all the phrases 'credits' with whatever currency I am using correct:confused:, thanks :D

Set the amount you want users to get for each referral in the usergroup editor. Then set the criteria you want for a referral to count (number of days registered, postcount, etc). When someone signs up they type the name of their referral in their signup form. When the criteria is met (it gets checked every midnight) then the referrer gets the award, and the referree gets the referree bonus set in the main settings.

Do you have any plan so we could use the referrer's affiliate ID link to track who the referrer was? I think many new members are going to miss typing in the referrer's user name into the additional options when they register. If the affiliate ID was used (the referral affiliate link that a visitor clicks to enter the site), it would be a 100% success rate for the referrer and the referee wouldn't have to type any extra info.

It also works that way. WHATEVER system you use for referrals (even if its a hack I havent heard of) vbcredits will see it and act on it (at midnight)

Oiy, now I'm starting to understand this better, this is just what I'm looking for. I have to practice with this for awhile and get the hang of it. Great hack, Installed :)
