I assume that the Install button is just a means to keep track of those that install the hack, then? Again, forgive me, but I am new to the vBulletin thing.

The real idea is to se which mods are the most popular, and also the author of the mod can then send a mass email to all users who have installed to notify them of updates.

For some reason our Arcade News & Events list is not updating.I just got the high score on one of our games but it hasn't registered on the list.Although it does show in the high score list for the game.

Is there some kind of time delay on the News & Events list ??

Yes and also it allows the creator to know people like the hack even if they don't use it.

Is there a way to display game settings over X amount of pages in the Admin CP. The page takes some time to load all the games and I would like to have pages that load quicker.

I dont want to wait ages for the page to load to edit settings for just one game, etc

You could do as I am doing and create an arcade membership group and only assign it as a secondary group to those members who should get it.

Yes, you can set per usergroup if the members in that usergroup can play games or even see the arcade.

Hi all, I installed this mod and double checked everything but when I try and go to the admincp/install_arcade.php this is the error I get:

Not to be a pest, but could you perhaps give detailed instructions on how to do this? I have only been able to figure out how to limit a certain user group to a particular forum, not something on this magnitude.

Go to AdminCP - Usergroup Manager.

Choose a Usergroup to deny Arcade Access.

Edit.

Scroll down to the bit that is about Arcade Permissions.

Choose 'No' for each option you wish to deny that Usergroup access to.

Hit Submit.

Ok I officially installed it and those were great instructions! Im a noob at all of this and I had no problem with it. Great mod!

installed this on VB3.0.3, installation instructions were the clearest I have seen in all the hacks I`ve read through. Everything works beautifully...so far as I know :)

i cant update "My Settings" when i enter the arcade it wont save them.

Get this error even thou ive given the groups permissions -

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Is there a clean way to remove this mod? Without obtaining assistance with the problem previously mentioned, it does me no good.

Actually Im having a similar problem. My regular users arent able to access the arcade. Any way of resolving this?

I experience the same problem as well - no way to access the arcade for any of the users, not even for administrator... Anyone that knows a fix?
I checked ALL setting, and everything shoul dbe allowed...

i missed out a line of code i need to add in the global.php check your edited files m8

I upgraded to the latest version of vBarcade and I need to remove the tables used in the vB2 version.
I renamed them to
delete_arcadeconfig
delete_arcadegames
delete_arcadescoregroups
delete_arcadescores
delete_arcadetopscores

but I get the occasional database error:

Any idea why?

I got that warning trying to finish the last steps of the hack. It wouldn't even let me go back into the admincp until I replaced everything and cleaned out the files for the hack.

I have installed Arcade and now I get the following parse error when I go to view any threads on my forum, I can see the forums but I can't see the threads. Looking at line 67 it seems associated with Petz that I installed yesterday, but this error has only showed up with arcade, so I presume it is an error with that.

question #1:

let's say that i decide to do this upgrade, what will happen the next time i upgrade vbulletin? i spoke to someone running this very same hack on his board and he recommended that i install this hack on every other template except the main 3.0.0 so that there's no problem when i upgrade. is there any truth to this? and is this recommended?

ok, i updated all the files and i'm ready to start updating the postbit and the navbar sections on each of my templates (i have 5 in total, not counting the 3.0.0). well, i found everything i needed to find on the postbit section, but when i went to the navbar, i couldn't find this line (i'm using the classic vbulletin template with different color variations on each of the 5 templates):

what do i do in this case?

The first question to your questions is 'what is the main 3.0.0 you refer to?'.

*edit* Ah. When you say 'template' you mean 'style', and when you say 'classic vbulletin template' you mean 'vBulletin 3 Classic Style'.

The answer to the second question is 'put the code into the navbar template where you want the Arcade link to appear'...but with that style it's up to you where it goes. I think I put mine in the quick links or one of those other dropdown menus.

so, whenever it's time to upgrade vbulletin is it ok to make the 3.0.0 style the default (the one w/out the hack) and everything will go through without any trouble?

Whenever I upgrade, I do the whole thing from scratch...rehacking all the files and starting on fresh styles.

I am getting a blank page on the arcade.php. what is the fix?

Have you got more than one style installed?

If yes, try another style as it might be that the templates have only gone onto one style and not all of them. If this is the case then make your other styles child styles of the style with the arcade templates in.

I'm embarrased to even ask this, but I'm completely stumped. Where are these templates that I need to modify. Are they something I can edit in notepad or through the AdminCP? -- I searched the options in the AdminCP, and all I show is the default template. Am I missing something?

This is where I'm at in the installation quide:

Goto your AdminCP and login follow this path
Styles & Templates>Style Manager here you find the templates there is a button like << >> press-it, now you see all templates. With the style manager you can edit alot just take a look.

If you have more then one style then you must make all changes to all styles other wise one style will have the function and the other will not.

Just one question, in the navbar (under Search) there is another search field for the Arcade. How do I get rid of that. I have looked in the navbar template and I can't seem to find it. I have probably looked at it a number of times but still no luck. Am i even looking in the right place??
