Is possible to download older version vbshout ?

Just updated to lite versión 6.2.16 and smilies stop working (clicking a smilie in the smilies list does nothing).

Changed Features:

• A fresh copy of the jQuery library is now only downloaded if one has not been downloaded previously. Requires updating of all other affected DBTech mods to take full effect.

I did have the bold italic and underline options hidden since they cant be seen on my style anyways, but is there a way to fix that?

You'll need to play around with the CSS in the dbtech_vbshout_editor.css CSS Template - I can't give you the exact things you need to change since I don't have a dark style locally, but hopefully you or your skin developer can resolve this using this information :)

didn't quite find it, however for anyone else that runs into clashing buttons, copy editor buttons from your style folder /editor to the dbtech/vbshout/editor folder(assuming your style buttons don't clash) however I did notice when I click bold after highlighting my shout before posting it, it bolds all shouts in box...same goes for italics and underline

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that, good call. The reason why I don't refer to style buttons directly is that in some version of vB4 they had flat out deleted those buttons from the product, so there wouldn't be a stylevar for them any more.

I'll remember this for the next person who has the same issue, thanks! :D

My Notifications option suddenly stopped allowing me to edit which forums generated a new reply or thread notice, I tried repairing the cache and it still happens [no errors or anything, just no changes after I click save]

This is a server issue. Could you please try changing the max_input_vars setting in php.ini to 100000 or higher?

Hello,

I'm trying to install this mod on vB 4.2.2 using the standard method listed. I used to use vba_CMPS but have uninstalled it.

I managed to import the .xml and DBTech - vBShout shows up in my adminCP where I can edit all the options.

When I add the "Widget" through the Layout Manager, it shows up on my page, but will not actually "function". I can type in the field box, but when I hit submit or "enter" nothing happens.

Additionally, in my console output I get the following:

(anonymous function) @ gcbos.js:1

If I remove that widget, the error stops (obviously).

Any ideas?

Sorry, I'm a bit confused, there is no widget support in this mod.

It's not designed to run within vBulletin CMS' Widget system, that's not supported at this time.

We do indeed get it to show up on the Forums view at the top of the page. Is there a setting we're not seeing in order to make it a sidebar view?

We'd love to have it hanging out on the right side of the page.

I think there is a bug, I have 2 members that their shout doesnt appear to unregistrered users..
Only the post of those 2 doesnt show when you are not logged in on the forum..
Any idea?

There are no permission checks on users shouts that would prevent them from showing to guests.

Can you tell me what common factors exist between these two members?

FIRST USER:
- Super Mod
- No additional Usergroup

SECOND USER:
- Super Mod
- With 1 additional usergroup

I also tried changing their usergroup to admin and other usergroup that has working shout and still no good.. The shout of that 2 user doesnt show to guest. But others are showing.. Need admin login to check?

How can i re-locate the chatbox?

It is under the options of the instance at the instance management. You need to configure the appropriate usergroups.

The only thing I can think of that would be common is the two had each other on ignore...

The shoutbox might respect the vBulletin ignore list, to be honest it's been so many years since I wrote that code I can't quite remember.

Can you create two test users and put each of them on their ignore lists and see if you can replicate the issue?

So i recently updated to this version , and lost the Editor in the Shoutout so now no one can shout?

Hi getting this error, checked and its there but vb says its missing.

/var/www/vhosts/justt4s.co.uk/just-t4s.co.uk/dbtech/vbshout/includes/class_install.php appears to be missing!

Make sure the file is readable by the web server as well :)
