The problem is we all do the file edits but there is a conflict with this hack and 3.0.7 i dont know how you managed to keep this m-working. You must did an extra step from us or because you installed in previous version. But right now with the file edit instructions and etc.. this mod is now working with 3.0.7

The main problem is

WHERE usergroupid=6
mysql error: Unknown column 'shoutboxpermissions' in 'field list
How can we pass here ? Any help will be really usefull.
People who are using shoutbox with 3.0.7 how did you manage to install etc..

Dude , I finally got mine working after some time spending on it. Let me explain to you so you can get it working also.

Download the attachment in this post
run the sql queries from phpmyadmin

after download the shoutbox zip from this thread and replace the attached queries file with the one that comes inside the zip file. Upload the files and donot forget to replace the attached queries.php
After the installation you are ready to go :)

Hey Lizard... will this fix my current situation as well? As my forums, noone can even get to posting...? I uninstalled the hack completely, but still, the damage has been left behind and its crazy. lol

I understand the coders get busy, no problem, just if anyone can point those that are lost here in the right direction, that would be great!!!!

It may but i can't give any promise to you. Did you check your file edit in init.php ?
and also did you do your file edits in admincp/user.php and admincp/usergroup.php ?

The post above is most likely for installation errors.

I am going to try it as I have just completed a full back up of the website... check in in a few minutes...

Well I ran those queries and this is the error I get...

An error occurred while attempting to execute your query. The following information was returned.

:disappointed: I think I will do the same. >starts the gruesome task of overwriting VB<

Vman 05-25-2005 01:14 AM

Well I tried to uninstall the shout and here is the following errors:

Warning: halt(./includes/functions_log_error.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/vman/public_html/forums/includes/db_mysql.php on line 389

Warning: halt(): Failed opening './includes/functions_log_error.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/vman/public_html/forums/includes/db_mysql.php on line 389

I can't get past this point to re-install then use the above suggestions....

How do I fix this?

ShOck11 05-25-2005 03:52 AM

This is goin too sound to noob like...but im so lost... Im an admin to a forum but I dont have any chance of getting to the codes or anything... The first step says

to go to 1. Upload the contents of the 'upload' folder to your forums directory.

I cant even find my forums directory in the admin Panel...Is it there or not? After I have that I should be fine. But thanks for any of the help.
