I have also tried it by enabling style choice at a regular user level, and then choosing the style with the selector, and again, a manual choice works, the sidebar is ignored. If the style is assigned automatically by the detection hack, the sidebar shows up.

For those having trouble with this on Mobile skins, if you are using the auto-detection hack by Dartho, here is your solution.

The ESB hack is only checking the style choice according to the user's stated preference in their control panel. The auto-detect hack overwrites that if you are on a mobile device, but does not actually change your saved style setting. So as far as ESB knows you are not using the mobile style, and setting the ESB preferences to ignore style XX has no effect.

So, to fix this, go into your Style Manager, choose your mobile style, and Edit Templates. Find the ESB template which is named "sidebarext_temp." Edit that template, and remove all code from the template. Save the template. This should stop the ESB from showing up at all in your mobile style, since there will be no code to render for the ESB template in that style.

But sidebar still is displayed at the end of the page in guest view in forum display. For members it is displayed everywhere at the right place. Somebody can help?

Hey, after I installed the latest patch pl1 I am having a problem with profile pages. The background does not come all the way down the back.

But if I disable the plugin the background shows as it should

Any ideas how to fix this?

Also if I disable the sidebar to stop showing on profile pages it still shows but lower down teh page.... not sure why

I have the same problem with the sidebar appearing at the bottom of the Profile page and it is not displaying on the showthread pages. I tried the instructions in #656 but it didn't work for me. Disabled until it's updated to work properly with 4.0.8
