Had a hard time uninstalling this from 3.6.8 as it didn't work right. Great mod, too bad it just doesn't work - and even worse the uninstall didn't work either. Followed edits from scattered error messages throughout this mod but still didn't get it (both for install and uninstall), the mod was trying to uninstall fields that didn't even get created... etc. At any rate, this file works for uninstalling from this version. Just import this and overwrite what you have now, then uninstall the product and revert and file edits you made by hand. You also have to manually delete the custom profile from your ACP.

PS - this mod getting ported correctly to 3.6.8 would be a good thing.

Woohoo....I'm updated! Thanks Optima.

I tried searching this thread, but came up empty handed. Let's say I want to add an additional profile field for the Timeslips. How can that be done? (ie. Instead of having a generic "Ride" field, I'd like to have a dropdown list that users can choose autos from (My website is geared towards about 9 distinct vehicles, so I'd only like those vehicles to be choices.)

I tried editing the install file on a test board and it just goofed up miserably. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Well, this hack was originally created by EvilLS1...and it works perfect on my Camaro/Firebird site running on 3.6.8 patch level 2. Maybe the timeslips hack just doesn't like Fords? :D

Ok, I'll stop kidding around. The information in 0ptima's post above should get you squared away.

I actually just created a new dropdown field with a list of vehicles.

I'm putting the finishing touches on a detailed "How To add additional custom fields to the Timeslip Database". If there's interest, I'll gladly post it here.

No I didn't see that, I just downloaded the 3.6 zip from this thread and noticed some of the profiles fields didn't appear as they should so I tried uninstalling it. A new thread would be GREAT, with clear instructions I'm sure it would help alot of people. In the meantime I just added a custom field in user's profile and display that in the postbit.

I finished the instructions on how to add additional fields to the Timeslip Database. They are somewhat lengthy, not sure if I should post them in this thread?

For now, post it in this thread and PM the author so he can link to the post from the hack's header info (top of the page).
