Can't wait for the version 2 to release ;)

Please consider the following for version 2 of i-bulletin-

1. Make the polls a bit colorful :)
2. Make the 'stars' bit colorful too :)
3. Please use a little bit darker shades for buttons ..rest you know it all :D

Installed all colours - really is one of the nicest cleanest skins I've seen and fits well with my site.
I have one niggle though - when scrolling in Firefox, the screen stutters, kind of as if FFox is struggling to process something? IE is fine though.
Any ideas what this might be, or have you come across it before?
Quite willing to accept it's *my* settings of course - just windered if anyone had mentioned it and/or got a fix?

ronoxQ 08-07-2006 07:26 PM

Can't wait to see this one for vBulletin 3.6- hope it's soon! ^_^

jailer 08-07-2006 07:30 PM

Boy, do I echo that.
Never seen ANY skin as nice as this.
b6gm6n - I just got jacked by some dodgy hosts who took my forum and my database and gave me the finger as they went. I'm lost now - no choice but to upgrade to 3.6.

I suggest a Paypal 'whip-round' for b6gm6n. I'd pay for this skin in an instant.

Help us out fella - we need this for 3.6.

b6gm6n 08-07-2006 07:52 PM

:D my paypal email is : b6gm6n@gmail.com if you'd like to make a donation :) - on the FFX issue i think it's ajax or some javascript, anyways i've noted all the ideas and i'd really like to see this for 3.6 also... also a new Lapsus7 and to top that off... Hardwired v3 (free to all) alls done when there done!... i'll work on Lapsus first (98%) done for 3.6 then iBulletin... shouldnt be too long!

Dude, get 3.6 running asap and I will donate, I promise. This skin has been polled on my test forum as the best. I work for the biggest media company on the planet's record label department, and run a forum for one of their UK artists.
We love this and need it badly.
Let me know when you get it sorted. We need to go live in days. Woulda gone with 3.5 had we not lost the database.

jailer 08-08-2006 01:39 PM

Come on Tony! ;) Just kidding.

Shazz or whoever you are, stop PMing me asking me to pay you to install this for us. I'll wait 'til Tony does the real thing, thanks.. You're in my ignore list.

Brilliant news.

The_Big_K 08-13-2006 03:38 PM

One more addition, Please allow the links to have different color. In the Grey ibulletin, the link & normal text cannot be distinguised.

Hypocrisy 08-14-2006 10:17 AM

Hope it'll be ready soon :)

The_Big_K 08-16-2006 05:13 PM

Can't wait to have this style for 3.6 ! b6gm6n !! you listening ;0 ??

Hypocrisy 08-18-2006 12:38 PM

you know that you chan change that in css settings, dont you?

Avalon111 08-21-2006 02:00 PM

this style works absolutely nicely with vb 3.6.0!!!! :)

1. install the skin
2. revert all changed templates to the vb 3.6.0
3. you also need the buttons attached. copy them into the i-bulletin/buttons folder

4. then copy the following files from the default skin to the i-bulletin folders
  • misc/redcard_small.gif
  • misc/yellowcard_small.gif
  • misc/progress.gif
  • buttons/redcard.gif
  • buttons/yellowcard.gif

have fun :)

GuaRRand 08-24-2006 10:03 AM

I like the different colored ones alot. Only problem i got with them is that the boldness of unread topics/posts isnt that clear anymore.
You dont see the difference very well between read and unread topics/posts.

Any place where i can edit that?

iRua 09-04-2006 02:35 AM

How's the 3.6 port coming along b6gm6n?

If it works perfectly as it is, what is the point of a v3.6 port?

ps. Great skin, thanks a lot!

Hypocrisy 09-20-2006 03:57 AM

If I revert the skin to vBulletin 3.6.x - will my custom design (in this case an extra tablefield) still remain?

TIA

if you revert modified templates, the modification is obviously gone ;)

The_Big_K 09-21-2006 09:09 AM

I upgraded my forum to vb 3.6.1 and the thread (posts) are are shrunk leaving some extra space on both sides.

The top part of the forum ( navbar & login panel ) however appears correctly.

How we I fix this?

Ok b6gm6n isn't it better to under-promise and over-deliver? Instead of making absurd promises like "I will be making the update for this skin soon" you should say something like.

"Guyz thanx for the response - I am really not going to do anything on this style before I get some spare time. However, donation might help..."

You could make a buck or two (which you deserve) and people would'nt get their hopes up, expecting an immediate update.

So get working - and remember to set up this paypal account, so that you can get som dollars out of your good efforts

Btw. I like your I-Bulletin style - It's good work!

Just to let you know my other styles have donation buttons.... wanna know how many have donated out of the hundreds that have used my style?...

None... EVER... so there's your enthusiasm for you... couple that with a lack of time and i may even start a business...

Right... updates as & when...

Oh man! Im sorry to hear that! That's not very motivating! I want to donate, where can I do that?

I've discovered how to get hints to tweak the templates by using the compare-templates functionality in vBulletin. So I'm not stuck and can use your style as a foundation and update it to the newest vBulletin version. However, not being a great artist does not leave high expectations for the quality of my own homebrew multi-quote buttons and such  :D

Anyway I want to donate. I sure hope this new donation integration that came with the new vBulletin.org makeover will help make contributions easier. God luck with the business plans! :)

b6gm6n 01-08-2007 12:22 PM

it's the 'support developer' under my avatar!

Oh man, thats right! I didn't notice the paypal icon. Anywayz 10$ should come rolling your way!

It's not that hard to update the I-Bulletin style to 3.6.x as I first thought. The template system in vBulletin is excellent and helps pin-pointing the templates that needs an update. My problem is just the art work... :D

The donation is just a general contribution. So don't feel forced to update the style to 3.6.x - unless you really want to. To all other hobo's reading this thread - Start contributing with either money or coding

Thankyou Markowitch, thats very decent of you...

Hey b6gm6m, is there any progress on the I-Bulletin update? I still have this one installed on my forum because I like it so much, but I had to switch it off default because people wanted the vB 3.6 features.

what 3.6 features do you mean?...the extra buttons?... tell you what, if you give me a list of the extra buttons needed for 3.6 i'll sort this out...and maybe give me incentive enough to do a complete update rather than the missing buttons...but i may do this just to tide people over :)
