How do you reset all the betting stats?

Which betting stats?

Erm, all of them. We had been using uCash for bets in 3.0.0 but are now just going to use the vBookie cash. So we want to have all the bet statistics, "Event with most bets" etc. reseting so we can have a fresh start.

I have made a test bookie on my board

but how will they know who won?
how will they win points or loose?
this is what I don't get, please explain!

If you uninstall the product and then install, all vBookies Data will be deleted.
If that is what you want.

No. There are currently no bugs that need to be fixed, so I don't see reason for an update.

I just ran this query to remove traces of my first test event. Change news_id where appropriate. Use at your own risk.

Strange bug...

After updating to the 3.5 version... everytime I post a new event, it is posting it within an OLD thread as well... For example it is putting the event in both the new thread, and an old thread which contained a previous event. Help ASAP much appriciated.

Just installed vBookie and followed the directions. Everything is showing up on the forum. Added permission for Admin Usergroup to create events, but when I go to the vBookie home, there is no create event option. Should it appear in the cascade window that also contains Open, close, settle and abandon or is it located somewhere else? If I did make a mistake in the template editing, which template do you think would cause this problem. Thanks.

It is a check box when you are creating a new thread. It's down the bottom just above Stick and Close.

Check the box and continue as normal then it will take you to the bookie event setup page.

It's like submitting a poll really.

Did you have a previous installation of vBookie?
If so, your Threads might still contain Event references - even if you droppen the tables before installing this Version.
So if you want a clean start, uninstall and then reinstall.

I found it. That was the last place I expected to find it. Thanks alot. I thought I had installed it incorrectly.

Is there a way to display the top 10 or top 25 Richest People on the Vbookie Stats page? I've been able to find "LIMIT 5" for most of the rest of the stat groups on that page but not that one.

ok I had vbookie installed before the upgrade.. Now I have installed this and whenever I make a vbookie event now it attaches itself to an old thread with a old vbookie event..

Its the same event but it shows up in two threads ... the new one and the old one..

Anyone know how to fix this I have 1 year old threads reappearing now.. (Ithink its started over vbookie event #2 and its attaching to the old vbookie event #2 thread.... something like that)

Firstly I just want to say thanks to Andreas for porting this to vB 3.5. I'm very grateful for your efforts mate! For any sports related site it's a must have IMO, and my users were getting anxious not having it after just a few days while I upgraded my forum!

Anyway, we've just started using it again and I've noticed that after paying out an event the 'WIN!' text is not appearing next to the winning outcome(s). I've attached a pic. I'm not sure how to fix it so I'm hoping someone else will...

ive set permissions but for some reason it still wont allow anyone to bet on events...i can post them, but once i try to bet, it says i dont have permission...

Check your permissions again. Moste likely there is an error.

this has probably been posted but how do you add an event for vBookie?

I just did my first board wide vbookie event (this weekends NFL games) after I settled the bets it didn't pay the MODS (paid everyone else....)

Any idea why?

A fun option to add would be to give the "house" (basically the Administrator) all of the vCash that other users lose on their bets. To kind of rub it in a little more and that's actually how it works in Vegas anyway. :) Seems like it wouldn't be terribly difficult to do.

Great mod though, having fun with it.

Other features that might be nice would be parlays and moneylines.

A user has apparently hacked into his vCash amount somehow and given himself tons of credits. Is there a known bug? How could this happen? And how can I clean this up? See this attached screenshot...

If i was you mate i would install the ucash addon thats what i use,
I dont use the vcash system but there must b a whole some where for a user to do this.

I got no idea how this could happen. If you know hoe to reproduce it, please let me know so I can take a look at it.

One other question while I'm here though, is it possible to display how much vCash the user has on the main vBookie page? Such as right underneath: "Welcome back, XXXXXXXXXX!

I have the most current version of vBookie installed on 3.5 Gold. Everything seemed to be working until it came for the payouts. The bets were settled on the day and time selected, but the winners didn't receive their payouts. Any idea of how I can correct this? I'm hoping it's just a setting I missed.

when I save the setting for who can post bets it dosnt save it reverts back to the settings it as on install

The Template might be slightly different on 3.5.0/3.5.1

As for the permissions - make sure you follow the installation instructions 100%

I did the code is in calander and needs to be edited there, not nav bar

i give up, when i set user group permission it reverts back to no after i hit save, when i do the same in the forum permision there is 2 vbookie yes/no sections and even then it reverts back to no. it also does not show up in the forums it suppose to, that could be do to permissions, im not sure. it looks normal on the nav bar and the vbookie home but is all messed up everywhere else. i have uninstalled and reinstalled and i cant find anything else to do?

1) Which vBulletin Version do you use?
2) Do you get errors upon saving Usergroups?
3) Did you call admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields?

I'm running into the same problems as teamgofast. I hit save on the usergroup, and they revert back to 'no'.
