It won't show on every page even if i do that. The code is in the forumhome complete hook, so it will only show on the forums index.

I tryed putting it in the global hook (start and complete) but i ither get an undefined function, or cannot call function again.

What do I have to do to set this up??

I get duplicate smilies fairly often. And no, I dont have duplicates in my smiley folder. ;)

Do not upload this as a plug in. Upload it as a product...

when I open the "smilies" only a few of them appear. no where near all of them, or even the ones I have as default.

ZT you are the man, even though it doesn't have an archive or a tracker, it's easily the best Shoutbox I've seen on vB, the realtime makes it just freakin' awesome.

Yep Yep. This be an issue when you have 2+ of the same one show up. Yet you don't have any duplicate smilies to do that with.

In firefox, this shoutbox does refresh. It blinks every 3 seconds. Is there a fix for that, or is that just something that people need to live with? Its pretty annoying when it does it. IE doesn't blink though. lol

Please help me .. i integrated your vbshout in vbadvanced. Now i have a big problem.. the messages are wider than the box (150px). I don´t know where i can define the maximum width of the text before a new line beginns.

basically, it works very well for me.

One question, i got some smiles saved in /images/vbshout/, how to change the default path for the vbshout smiles to the new path? so the users can use the smiles in the /images/vbshout/ folder.

Has anyone made the height of the message display adjustable? It will be nice if the height can be adjusted on the fly like the vB Edit/Post boxes. If no ready solution is available, I might try to check out the java stuff. (Poor me, I know zero thing about java.:))

I think you have misunderstood me. What I meant was able to change the height on the fly. That is if the user wants a larger display, then he/she can hit a button to say increase 100 pixels. Just like the vB3.5's Editing text area.

BUGS (on mine)

1. the shout position doesn't work for Below Forums and Below What's going on box. the shoutbox just disappears when I try them.
   
   I don't notice any difference between below navbar and above forums....though that could be just cause I haven't move anything around.
   
   
2. from what I can tell (on mine) the Newest At the Bottom doesn't work (whehter the Display format options is above or below messages). New shouts just don't appear and whenever the shoutbox refreshes it it jumps back down to the bottom of the shout list. (I wanted to try out Format Options at the bottom with Newest Shouts appearing from Bottom----but no go.)

And really sorry to bug you as anything you do with this appreciated ....but couple of

btw..... I you keep adding commands like the "/me" command and "/prune" (maybe others I missed?)......... wouldn 't this become like a local forum version of IRC? in a superficial way. That would actually be AWESOME as I have yet to see a integrated IRC hack (*ahem*anytakers?*) heh.

This shout add is brilliant! It would be very cool if irc and shout are combined with in it the usual irc commands and even sounds in au format. Maybe this will rise the bandwith usage skyhigh.
