I'm kinda hoping for a little more detail later on kinda like the forums showing the category they are viewing with a link to the category and the title of the article. Along with all of the extras like Posting New Article, blah blah

Actually I believe in the main settings you can turn off the "featured article" altogether. Otherwise, you can change the featured article by just featuring a different article.

My attachments are not showing up as thumbnails since I updated to the latest version. Does something need to be updated since they changed attachments with the new update?

Did you rebuild your thumbnails like it said to do? ;)

Outstanding hack. Is there any way to automate a RSS feed? I'll admit it, I went through most of the pages in this thread and did the search thing, but no luck.

Yes, and the attachment thumbnails work in the forums, but not for the articles.

I must be missing it, because I can only find a limiter for the featured article preview size.

Is this hack being actively developed?

You're right. I went back and looked and couldn't find it either. I thought it was an option, but I guess it's not.

That does kinda suck that once you feature an article you can't go back to not having a featured article. Personally, I'd just like to be able to move where the Featured Article shows up.

Yeah, I have same problem with the thumbnail in article.

Once you create your first category or article then that won't be a problem. That template is only used if one of the above is empty from what I remember...

Thumbnails work fine on my forum. The article thumbnails are not working.

3.0.3 changed how thumbnailing works I think.

If I turn off moderation per category, does it revert back to usergroup permissions?
IE. If I turn off moderation for the category but for my forums I have it set to moderate all posts from unregistered users, will it still moderate posts from unregistered users?

I think I might have found a bug...whenever I write an article and use the word "on", it replaces it with "o*n". Am I the only one with this?

Yes. Doesn't happen to me, and "on" is so common in the English language that I guarantee someone would have reported it before now.

I tried to create a 2nd maini category and it didn't show it on the article page correctly. Not sure if this has been adressed yet or not.

This is a wonderful and useful hack. I'm having the same thumbnail issues as Henry RS on my 3.03 test forum (I'd show you but, well, it's my test forum!). GD 2+ is enabled, thumbnails are working on the rest of the forums. It's just the article thumbs that are showing up a broken image. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

(I should mention that the first test article I created before turning on the thumbnails on my forum is showing the correct "placeholder" image, i.e. the "file.gif" I uploaded as part of this hack.)

Other than this glitch, I love this addition to my forums, and can't wait to move my articles over to the new system. Many thanks, John!

I've noticed another glitch.

If you are moderating articles/ comments and you delete one instead of validating it, when you look at the info on the articles page... it doesn't update there.

IE. On the category page it shows the last update as being one that I deleted. And on the article list page where it shows the comments, it shows two comments on one article where there is only one (there were two initially in moderation and I deleted one of them).

how do i move a article placed in the wrong room by a member ?

also my thimbnails are not working also but by the looks of it, it will be done in an update so no rush.

Is there a way to make it so articles in a subcategory appear in the latest article column of the parent? Like how if in your forums a post is made in a subforum, it shows up as new in the first forum.

I installed on 3.0.3 and have the same thumbnails issue...I also do have GD installed and enabled in vB and the server. I have a feeling you already know what the problem is, but wanted to mention for you.

If it's okay to put in a request, I'd like to be able to choose if the date, time and written by is shown or not with an option in admincp. Or even better if we can edit those in admincp.

I had the article working on 3.0.1.
I upgraded to 3.0.3 and the article script did not work because I had uploaded the new files (from 3.0.3.)

I redid the hack, modified files and uploaded for 3.0.3.
The article still not show up. I did the install again and the Full Installation does not work because the tables exists. I did the Install Templates Only and I found out the articles showed up.

BUT..when I click on a category, I get

Also, how do you remove the Article script complete as I want to redo the hack??

It uninstalls but there tells me

Make sure there are no blank lines ("white space") below the final ?> tag.

For some reason on my article.php page it shows up as being in Debug Mode, but the rest of the pages on my site are not. Anyone see this before?
