how and where do i set the file path? Sorry, im not too good with hacks. Can you explain it to me?

css59 - If you login to your admincp then under the navigation on the left find section called users - under that you should see "referrral statistics" click on that and then click on configure referral statistics in here is were you set the file path. I have explained this in 2 -3 posts earlier.

ok, on top of having all of the phrasing issues, i'm getting an internal server error when clicking the link to referrals.php

note i uninstalled and reinstalled, and also tried the fixit.php and still have no phrases in the admincp panel for referral stats, and the internal server error

Yeah, it least I believe I have it right. (hard to tell cause of the stupid blank config referral statistics page even with the newest 2.1 RS hack and the fixit.php file) I'll have to check again to make sure. Talk to you later on AIM about this, thanks

it has to do with phrases, but i honestly don't have time to manually find/fix them all in the php file. thanks for the help!

oh, and i think screen 1 is just a bulleting issue (being outside the table)

blank page almost always means a blank/broken template. make sure the style you are using has the right remplates for the hack.

Actually, I meant I see exactly the pics that you just posted not too long ago. It's not exactly blank, just no phrases (sorry, I didn't make that clear)

But I still get that Internal Server Error when I go to referrals.php... (chmod 777)

the insternal server error is definitely that you don't have the directory set in your admincp>referralstats setup. if your hosted on a linus server, it's prolly gonna be something like

/home/username/public_html/forumroot/

when i did this, it gave me a chdir error cuz i had forgotten the preceding "/" in front of home. putting this is made the referral stats work fine.

to enter in the directory in your admin, go to that page, and the first box is where you put the path, save, and you should be all set on the user end.

I have updated the zip file again to reflect changes in the install of this hack. I have also updated the installation instructions.

I have updated by board to version 3.0.6 and I uninstalled this hack completely, then I ran the installation through the auto installer and smack dab, everything is working correctly. Try following the new instructions...

paws - make sure you followed the instructions from start to finish. Make sure that when you set-up the referral statistics in the admincp that you entered in the full path to your vbulletin forum example: /home/www/mywebsite/vbulletin/forums/ including the last backslash.

t3media - You should be fine upgrading, just download the latest zip file and follow the instructions start to finish. :)

THAT IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM HERE, PEOPLE NOT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS - maybe I should require the vbulletin path again to be edited by hand in the actual files, let me know what you think T3MEDIA. :)

mowthelawn - the problem that you are having is that you dont have the right path set for you vbulletin full path, make sure you have the trailing backslash on your forum path. That is for sure that problem that you are having....

t3media - I'm looking into what you are asking. I will add this very soon, right now I have added database modifications that will allow for this eventually. Please stick with me on this. It will be available soon.

css59 - you will only get that and no date unless you do a full reset on referrals. This will reset all members referrals to zero and start a new competition. Only perform a reset once you upgraded to the latest version. This way it will still keep track of who was referred by whom even when you perform a reset. :)

Or you can enter a date in manually using phpmyadmin and just enter a date in the referrals table with the field date. :)

moethelawn - can you confirm that your path that is shown in the pictures above is actually listed in the referrals database table under "vbpath"? Also, let me know what is all in the referrals database table. What fields? :)

Hey G. same thing just happened for me for a friends page. The option to put the full path doesnt arrise before the "hidden" phrases start. I think this is due to upgrade. Upgrade from what verison? I think users that have your older version will be missing phrases.

Did you check this manually in the phrases section in the admincp? Where non of the phrases added? I made the installer add all phrases no matter if they had the old version or the new. Please check this and let me know. You will be looking for phrases that start with referral

I would like to know if anyone has installed this hack without having any troubles with the new verion 2.1? I'm leading to believe that I have something simple wrong here with the auto installer. Can anyone tell me who is having problems, if they can see manually in their admincp in the phrases that there are phrases with referral beginning with them? They should be listed under the global phrase section. This will help fix the problems that you are having, the more information you can give me the better, any pictures, ect.. MUCH APPRECIATED!

the screen goes blank. the tag under username is hidden its like a mariobrothers game. its inbetween the two codes. almost like your var have nothing in them.

and the template has lost all sense of pagnation. It doesnt bother me much wasnt my system but to be honest these peeps you said cant follow instructions are right.

Actually your installer is straight forward. So I cant see how they would mess up phrases. I also get a database error. I am sure it is due to prefix. I dont want to mess with it... wait till you get a update.

Ok, finally I dont know why now, but finally I'm getting the same error here. I have been asking questions to other hackers and were all trying to figure this out. It's really weird. Sorry all, please do not install this until I release a fixed version in 2.2

I installed the 2.1 v when u fixed the phrase's issue. Apparently, the problem did not fix itself. But when i logged out of admin panel and logged back in the second time... everything worked flawlessly. I have read lots of messages of ppl having issues with the path to refferal.php and i do not think it is an issue with the mod but ppl not understanding the instructions.

Also, as a suggestion, if u can include a mannual install instruction, that will help ppl like us - who are not too techie but still techie enough to modify vB with some instructions. Overall, the hack installed OK for me.

Please download this fix if and only if you are having issues with the phrases in version 2.1 - The main zip has been updated as well for new installations and upgraders who have not yet upgraded to version 2.1. ONLY USE THIS IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING 2.1 USER. This will automatically upgrade you to version 2.2 :)

(throwing in) and at least 1 referal themselves.

I had to pick one out of the list but hey it works... and you took time to make it... AND fix it with an installer.
