:ermm: Well, read step 4 of the guide and make sure that your Field is correct by mouse overing the edit button in the User Fields thang. Be sure the fields match, and if that dosent work, then maybe you installed it wrooong

everythng works, i see the $ i just dont see the items, they are not shown

if its not fixed by the above, i dont know whats wrong with it, It should be something to do with the user field, EG, you may think that because the field selected is 5th from the top, that it would be field 5, however, if you rollover edit it shows you the true field number at the end of the url in the bottom left load bar. Mines was 8. This in theory should fix the problem, if not follow the whole of the procedure shown on the prev page step by step, that fixed the same problem for me,.

that number only correesponds to the points/money, it doesnt do anything to if the items show up or not.

If you have not deleted any of the categories, or customised it in anyway, i cant help you, all i can suggest is that you either, Fresh install the WHOLE vbulletin board. OR Go over the code then follow the steps i provided. Sorry :( |
I have this hack installed with tons of other hacks and it works perfectly. No wonder Vivi is pissed off at this thread. Goddamn, read the instructions and it will ++++ing work.

Anyways on a lighter tone, with all the advanced features, this hack should be better than ever. I cant wait for the new edition of itemshop that will be released soon, go great with my Trek RP. Now all i need is a decent usergroup specific rank hack, that would be tops for all concerned |
just a quick (and possably silly question) but if I use a difrent script to award the points to users, will the donate features still work?
it's just that i'm trying to encourage people to post more new topics, so i'd like to give them 10 points for a new topic, and 5 for a reply. (can anyone suggest a good script I can use for this?) cheers all |
I can suggest the Shinra Points hack, Itemshop was designed to work in unison with this hack if you read the readme

you could also use it with Lesane's Store hack, although it'd be a bit more than you need. To use points in unison there, undo newreply and nwthread.php changes, install store hack, then change all instances of 'userfield' in itemshop.php to 'user' and then change the points field to 'storep' and use the Store's admin capabilities to do that :-D

Installed fine - no probs was quite easy as well and i already had lesanes store installed so i followed the guide to get it working with this and Bingo it worked.
I had prob of only one icon in postbit and Bingo the post above by link14716 worked a dream so all in all a succesful night. Cheers guys for all help - without the feedback must admit i would never ov suzzed the postbit prob out . |
1) How can I change the interest rate for the Bank, from 10% to 5%?
2) Also, I've read the past 10 or so pages, EVERY post about gifs not showing up for custom or added catagories. On my site, I've added my own personal itemshop (thru buying it). I've also ran into some of the troubles mentioned to get those custom icons installed...and none of the fixes work completely. Link's copy/paste fix helped out a bit...but all I was able to get from it, was the white "P" gif (no item.gif) to show for items in the new catagory. I tried using the same gifs that are used by the default items...it STILL shows as a white "P". But I didn't see it noted (w/i the past 10 or so pages of posts here)....that there may be a catagory id error. If it IS mentioned, forgive me, I overlooked it...but thought I was very careful about searching for it as people tend to get upset at those who don't look more carefully. :) Anyway, here is my observation: In the admincp...my new personal (and thus far, the ONLY) catagory (shop) is catid=4. But when you are in the actual Itemshop...and hover over that link to GET to my shop, and all of it's items, it says catid=0. I would imagine that a lot of the issues are coming from this very thing. Anyone else noticed this? Anyone have a fix for it? Again, my apologies if this IS already brought up...I just don't see it anywhere here yet. Oh, I don't know if it matters...but I use it with Lesane's Store Hack. Works great other than the issue #2 above. :) |

I saw something in this thread early on how to fix the problem when you refresh it gives a user points... but when I tried to fix it the problem just got worse, did I do something wrong? :\

Well...there are a lot of complaints about this itemshop...and there is never any support for it.

heh... Neo is correct about the huge server load... for every post on the showthread it creates 11 extra queries... no joke ;) the more you have the more queries you run... so if you're running five items chances are you're running an extra 18 queries per post >_O
