Ok, I didn't realize guests didn't see the thumbs. It's been so long. I'll PM you.

Okay, create a plugin hooked at "parse_templates" with the PHP code:

PHP Code:

if (THIS_SCRIPT === 'index')
{

$template_hook['headinclude_css'] .= '<style>.alt2 {background: rgb(224, 224, 224) !important;}</style>';

You can make the background darker by using a lower number for the 3 values in the rgb() function, and to make it lighter, use a higher number (up to 255, which is what it is set at by default).

Rakehel 12-23-2016 12:13 PM

Thanks Mark. I'll give that a try and report back here, eventually. Someone else may be looking for this.

Rakehel 12-23-2016 03:45 PM

Excellent! It works and across multiple skin colors. As you've mentioned it gives me a place to work on the background color without searching for other code or plugins all day.

I'm currently working on fixing about 7 skins/themes. (Yeah, some people like them and won't let go... LOL.) I've been putting some stuff off for a few years.

Thanks Mark! :D

Thanks for letting me know...it's always nice to hear back that something either worked, or if not to be able to try to resolve the issue. :D

That happened to me. It turned out I hadn't uploaded all the files so check that you uploaded them all and that they're in the right place. This is worth doing slowly.

I had to retrace my steps several times but it was worth it. I've got it working on 4.2.4 and am very happy, all for one little php error message I need to get rid of.

chloe101 05-30-2017 05:00 AM

I just installed this on 4.2.4 and it's looking great and I was able to upload pictures, assign a category and make an album but I have the following php message at the top

"Warning: Illegal string offset 'catid' in /home/xxxx/xxx/photoplog/index.php on line 92"

Can someone please help me decipher and fix this?

Thanks in advance

What is in that file in the vicinity of line 92, including about 5 lines before it and 5 lines after?

Here's what I have in lines 86 - 98
Code:

else if ($photoplog_file_info_links && $photoplog_file_id)
        {
                $photoplog_file_info = $photoplog_file_info_links;
        }
        unset($photoplog_file_info_links);

        $photoplog['catid'] = intval($photoplog_file_info['catid']);

        $photoplog_do_html = 0;
        $photoplog_do_smilies = 0;
        $photoplog_do_bbcode = 0;
        $photoplog['do_comments'] = 0;
        $photoplog_do_imgcode = 0;

Thanks

I downloaded the product, and looked at that file, and unfortunately, I don't see what the issue is...but it's past my bedtime, and perhaps tomorrow with fresh eyes, I will spot it. :)

Thank you. It's past mine too. I'll check back in the morning. Thanks again for all your help :)

$bbcode_parser = new vB_BbCodeParser($vbulletinfetch_tag_list());

Thank you. I was getting the same error

Code:

Warning: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in ..../photoplog/ratebit.php on line 29
and this did indeed fix that one.

Hi Mark, I'm going to uninstall this for now and try DBTech's gallery instead since that one is updated and supported. Photoplug is a neat add-on but it's creating double entries in the database everytime I create a new category and the final straw was when my ckeditor disappeared... possibly because of their ckeditor plug-in.

Thanks for taking the time. Hopefully whatever you find will help someone, maybe even me if DBTech;s doesn't work out...

On edit: I'm not uninstalling it just yet. Instead I'll recheck every single step to make sure I didn't miss anything.

2nd edit: There was nothing wrong with the editor. Some of my CKeditor files weren't properly uploaded. Sigh. I encourage anyone who runs into problems to retrace every single step and upload these files even more methodically that normal. But I still have the original problem you were helping me with

Did you ever find an answer to this? I'm having the same problem.

Brandon Sheley 07-21-2017 01:23 AM

Oh PhotoPlog, so many found memories of this plugin back in the day :)
I always liked it over the expensive photopost

Rakehel 08-17-2017 01:20 PM

This one is new to me, I think, hoping somebody has seen it. The main photo display stopped working, all photos, multiple, updated browsers. We're still using vb 4.2.3 w/any applicable patches.

I've tried using the photoplog maintenance tools, and looking over file.php, the apparent issue. I noted the file on the server was smaller in size than the original photoplog/file.php file, v2.1.6. I tried a backup and overwrite. Verified chmodding.

The paths below are for the same picture. From Chrome Inspect tool:

Quote:

<img style="padding: 1px; border: 1px solid #CCCCCC;" src="http://www.xxxxx.com/forum/photoplog/file.php?n=168&amp;w=l" alt="Click to view original" border="0" title="Click to view original">
Picture's properties in IE 11 (Looked at in Edge too.):

Quote:

http://www.xxxxx.com/forum/photoplog/file.php?n=469&w=l

Mozilla error message displayed: <img src="http://www.xxxxx.com/forum/photoplog/file.php?n=168&amp;w=o" alt="The image “http://www.xxxxx.com/forum/photoplog...amp;w=o” cannot be displayed because it contains errors.">

Rakehel 08-26-2017 10:13 AM

Does anyone have insight regarding my previous post?

aeternitasster 03-31-2018 12:26 PM

I've installed it on vBulletin 4.2.5 and followed the instructions, everything works okay up until the upload. The upload page comes up, I add a file, the description, etc., but when I try to upload this error comes up:

syntax error, unexpected 'new' (T_NEW) on line 29 in /home/domain/forums.domain.net/photoplog/ratebit.php
#0 {main}

Line 29 of ratebit.php :
$bbcode_parser =& new vB_BbCodeParser($vbulletin, fetch_tag_list());

Any ideas?

edit: Nevermind, it's fixed. Same problem as with the vb link directory. If anyone else has this problem and uses PHP 7, it can be corrected by removing the class assignment operator - the ‘&’ - which is no longer supported.

selector.php is in place and works. Selector button is not pointing to the selector. Everything else works, so I think all the paths are set correctly. Checked and triple-checked.

Same problem here, the Photoplog Gallery Selector button is not pointing to the correct path. What I mean by this is that:

HTML Code:

https://www.website.com/gallery/selector.php?e=vB_Editor_001_editor
should be

HTML Code:

https://www.website.com/photoplog/selector.php?e=vB_Editor_001_editor
I could not find the code under custom BB codes. Where/how do I change this?

In the meantime I've added a rewrite. In case someone else wants to do this, here is the code. Add this to .htaccess :

Code:

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
# BEGIN Rewrite /gallery/ to /photoplog/
RewriteRule ^gallery/(.*)$ /photoplog/$1 [R=301,NC,L]
# END  Rewrote /gallery/ to /photoplog/
</IfModule>

We are having the same problem on vBulletin 4.2.5, and no, there seems to be still no answer.

It's just an annoying warning, though, everything seems to work fine.

VB Version 4.2.5.

can anyone help me?

Hostboard 05-18-2023 10:14 AM

Looks like you have not uploaded the files correctly.
Also Have you gone through the entire thread and applied the "fixes" that have been posted?
This thing is ancient and might require someone to fix the code to work properly both in VB 4.2.5 and PHP versions.
