you have to enable it on the main setting to turn on the mod so the main setting will kill all script if they are enabled and you turn off the main setting
then you got edit witch script/s you want and you have to config that script to work

something happens to me very strange, I tried it on localhost and works great, and installed it on my site and it does not work, do not give any kind of error or nothing apparently everything is correct but shows no snow, lights or anything.

any ideas?

Nice mod and working well for me. Is there a way I can create a new snow plow? I'll like to make another driver rather than Frosty and I am not sure where you are pulling the image from.

well you will not find them because they're base 64 images so it look like a data string in the js file i can make it so you can add your own custom plow if you want just give me a few days.

I just tested the version 1.3.1 and it works perfectly, do not understand how the latest version does not work.
could please pass me the v2.0.0 and v2.0.1 to test?

2.0.0, 2.0.1 will not work if 2.0.2 won't and i trashed them since 2.0.0 had a bug and 2.0.1 is just missing the "Date & Time Picker"

There something wrong with your "Espa?ol (es) Language" i downloaded your "Espa?ol (es) Language" from your (AdminCP > Languages & Phrases > Language Manager) and put it on my test site and did the same problem i also download 3 different Language packs from vbulletin.com and there was not a problem but i could not find a "Spanish (es) Language Pack" from vbulletin.com and the Language Pack version got to be the same as your VB version

already solved, in a rather curious way, downloaded the language vb I have in localhost and and installed on my site as well and managed to fix it and it is rare since the forum that I have on localhost is a backup of my site xD.

is rare but the important thing is that this solved.

The Christmas lights aren't showing for unregistered/not logged in members. And the box is checked in my AdminCP.

Bob R - I wondered the same and I found the solution was to enter the Group number for Unregistered/Not Logged In users under Guest Usergroup ID in the Edit Main Settings screen of Holidays Special Effects. Hope that helps.

I love the idea of this mod, but it slows my site to a literal crawl. Too bad - nice concept.

I actually got it working okay with just the Christmas lights and snowstorm...but when I turn on the snow with the plow - that seems to lock up the site. Not a big deal.

One question. The background transparency for the christmas lights wasn't working for me - it was showing a white background (and the top half of my site is black) so I just redid the background color for that image and made it black. I have about an 1/8" sliver of white at the right edge of the lights - any idea how to stretch the lights image or extend the field so it is all black?

You need to load the files that came with the mod.

ummm yeah i know that lol its the same with almost every Mod, but now that its uploaded correctly its not showing anything.

I set for christmas lights and snow and set the start and end time but nothing is showing.

EDIT:Of course after i post that it starts working, again nevermind lol

When snow is set does it fall all over - ie vbcms, forumhome, arcade, gallery,etc?

Dont see where you can limit it or block it for different sections. Would like to not have snow in the arcade especially.

Depending on the way the server is setup merely uploading an index.html file may override the vBulletin index.php file and break the site.

I strongly urge the author to provide a readme file with instructions that cautions against uploading the index.html file unless they intend to use the "April Fool's" prank.

The index.html file is spelled with a lower case L (Lndex), So it looks like this lndex.html

Working on VB v4.2.3 PL 2

It's not showing on the front end for me. vB 4.2.2 Patch Level 4

I have been through all of the posts here, deleted cache, reinstalled, re uploaded, etc. I have been over all of the settings and just can seem to get anything to display on the front end.

The theme is a slightly modified version of Morbid Blue.

EDIT: Was using "Hide Version" plugin which was causing the issue

I can only work this if I have selected English language, when I select mine I do not see anything from Special Effects, any clue where to search??

Works great here 4.23 pl2, it really makes the site shine for christmas

It allows only 11 usergroups to be selected, I have more usergroups, 21 usergroups currently, but the addon will only let me choose 11.

Do you have a fix for that?
