Any thoughts on this DP? :)

I love this mod. Using vbulletin 4.1.11 PL 1, I can not get the Mini-Avatars to work consistently. Sometimes you see them with the correct user avatar and sometimes they are the default avatar. It seems to come and go so had to uninstall.

skokarl 04-10-2012 05:35 AM

After install this mod and check again in http://validator.w3.org/ I got "+53" errors

You may take this into consideration in next release

lol .... sorry i noticed it later that tiny lock is indicating locked threads

mescalin 04-24-2012 05:59 PM

Very nice mod.

If you are the thread owner there shouldn't be a small avatar overlay. If you are the thread owner its obvious you posted in the thread and looks ugly when the avatar and the overlayed avatar is the same like inception :)

fastcom 04-25-2012 01:20 AM

How can I changes thread icons to be the avatar of the thread laster?

digitalpoint 04-25-2012 02:17 AM

You can't (at least not with this addon).

Lpspider 04-25-2012 10:34 PM

Would it be possible to give users the ability to disable this by having two styles, one style without the avatars and one with?

digitalpoint 04-26-2012 12:51 AM

You would probably be better off using the $show['hide_thread_avatars'] hook location... then you could just make a per-user toggle if you wanted (for example with a custom user field).

egyptsons 04-29-2012 11:43 AM

Thank you :)
working fine with me ;)

Thanks, this option does seem better. How would I go about making the custom field to enable/disable $show['hide_thread_avatars']? Would I have to code a plug-in of some kind? Sorry for the question, I'm a bit rusty with this sort of thing.

Edit: found your previous post, should be able to figure it out. Thanks.

Great Mod... Thank You!!

Neal-UK 05-23-2012 02:39 PM

I've just upgraded to 4.2.0 and this mod has stopped working.

Neal-UK 05-23-2012 02:42 PM

Sorted, I just reinstalled the product so it could sort out the templates.

digitalpoint 05-23-2012 10:05 PM

You can also just rebuild it from the Counters menu.

gpinjason 05-25-2012 10:18 PM

has anyone tested on 4.2.0 yet?

iBaker 05-25-2012 10:26 PM

Everything ok on 4.2 with me...don't forget to rebuild "Styles" under ACP -> Maintenance -> General Update Tools, after you upgrade

Jakobi 06-01-2012 04:59 PM

Works on 4.2.

Jakobi 06-01-2012 05:12 PM

This conflicts with https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...275406&page=13

That mod forces this one to use last poster avatar. Any idea how to fix, would love to use both.

MrD 06-06-2012 01:36 PM

Hi,
i have a Problem with IE 9 and Win 7.
In Opera,FF, Safari the Avatars works Perfect, on MacOS too.
But in the IE 9 under Win 7 no miniavatar is shown.
The other Thread Avatars works, but the mini is only the Unknown Picture.

Maintance tools are Working

Vb is 4.1.12

pokusek 06-12-2012 02:49 PM

I have a problem - avatars do not cover original images:

Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks.

digitalpoint 06-12-2012 03:00 PM

If you did an upgrade of vBulletin, you need to rebuild the CSS files.

I did that, but without any luck. :(

digitalpoint 06-12-2012 03:18 PM

WHat is the site you have it installed on?

pokusek 06-12-2012 03:25 PM

It is the one which is linked in my signature.
Should I give you access to the admincp or something like that?

digitalpoint 06-12-2012 03:54 PM

It looks like everything is there, including the required CSS template, but the CSS template isn't being included.

I would run the "Compile Thread Avatar Templates" option again... that's the part that will insert it into your templates.

pokusek 06-12-2012 04:20 PM

I ran this option but it still does not work.

digitalpoint 06-12-2012 04:41 PM

Do you have any other plug-ins at the template_compile location? Maybe something is interfering somehow...

pokusek 06-12-2012 04:55 PM

The only plugin that does something with that location is "Alter Compiled Templates" (which is a part of your mod).

I have these modifications installed: http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5603/canvasdp.png (I am not avare about any of them that might interfere)

pokusek 06-12-2012 04:58 PM

But in the What's new? section avatars are displayed just fine.
