well I hope you do locate a blog lic and can get that incorporated. In the mean time, we'll settle for threads based plugin for now.

I don't understand where modify the image...I have an appid that I use for my facebook fan page but thraeds liked appear in my friend's profiles :confused:

If yo go to this page you should see your app:
https://developers.facebook.com/apps

Then in the app settings add an image.

Honestly I never used it with a fanpage so I don't know what may or may not be possible with one.

Another option is to add the following lines to your headinclde template:

<meta property="og:image" content="http://www.yourdomain.com/images/facebook_image.png"/>

<meta property="og:type" content="article" />

You would replace the URL to the image with a URL to an image file you created that you want to be used. Something roughly square or rectangular, between 100x100 and 300x300 pixels, facebook will auto resize it.

Also once you do this give it some time, facebook caches your image so it may take a while for this to show up/change.

But again I've never tried it off a fan page.

I got it working on forum home, but none of the buttons show up in a thread. using vb 4.1.5 and have tried it in firefox and ie. link

I am not sure if this problem existed previously (I don't think it did), but after upgrading, the linkedin button always shares the home page, not the actual page I am on.

E.g. - http://legalhelp.org/content/297-pow...-overview.html - I tried to share that on linkedin but its only coming up as the home page

I have installed this plugin on my forum www.wedost.com/forum.php but only facebook like is showing, nothing else. After uploading that XML, What I Have to do next? I have already enabled facebook like.

I installed a vb fixers +1 but i am not really satisfied with it. Is there somthing special we have to do to get the count boxes for how many +1's it has recieved.

As for everyone else with the earlier issues I've been very sick the last few days, will look into yor issues when I'm feeling better. :(

I'd consider it but I don't find any info on their button. On their own site, the link is dead for me, a Page not found error: http://www.reddit.com/reddits/buttons/

If you have a link to their button somewhere I'll take a look.

Remove "add" ?? I don't know what that means. :confused:

You can disable as many or as few share options as you want, so yes it is possible to use just +1 and tweet.

I ended up fixing this issue. For some strange reason when i had upgraded the forum software, the Headinclude template didn't quite overwrite like the others and there was some left over code in there that caused a conflict with this along with having no buttons in my Editor in Edit mode.

Other than that, Mod works great and a was a huge need for those of us competing against Blogs.

I do hjave a question... where can I edit the color for the text to the Facebook "Be the first of your friends to like this"? Black on black isn't working too well for me :D

In the mod options you can switch to the "dark" style for Facebook buttons or if you only want to do it in one (or more) templates then edit the more_share_options template.

Find all instances of:

Code:

colorscheme="{vb:raw boplord}"

and change to

Code:

colorscheme="dark"

The dark style will work better on dark pages. Light and dark are the only options Facebook offers.

Is there a way to make the buttons show on CMS main page as well? They show in the articles, but I would like my users to be able to share/like the main page too.

If possible, I would like to have them show above "Recent Forum Topics" here: www.radioctrl.com/content/

Thank you for the nice mode. However, after upgrading to v 2.5 my AddThis no longer shows Facebook sharing. I have try to customise AddThis but could not fix it.

You would need to make (or edit) a plugin to register $more_share_options on an arcade template, and then edit the specific arcade template and add the code {vb:raw more_share_options} to the template where you want the buttons to appear.

Look at the plugin More Share Options Plugin - in the middle- you'll see the code I used to register it on the existing templates.

The Facebook isn't showing in AddThis because you already have the Facebook Like button enabled. It is a feature of this mod to NOT show any service in AddThis that you already have a dedicated button showing for on the page- this includes Twitter, Digg, and the others too.

This is a quote from the instructions included with the mod:
