Fantastic, I'd been waiting for this.
Upgraded to vB4 last night and installed this today, flawless and generated the first new sitemap with no problems. Many thanks. |
If hold a valid vB license, upgrade to vBSEO 3.5.2, Free or purchase .?

im running vb4.1 and its getting sql error when i run the generator
[SECTION START] tags [9,600.3Kb mem used] [467s (+467s)] Database error The Forums database has encountered a problem. |
Should there be a link to the sitemap in the footer of the forum?

Google will find it just fine if you set up your webmaster account and have the sitemap submit correctly. |

vBSEO has it's own costs and own licenses as an add-on product. The sitemap is an additional product offered free of charge to not only vBSEO customers but for all vB owners. You should head over to http://www.vbseo.com if you have any further vbseo-related questions. Quote:

I get this when I try to run it
PHP Code:

Hi,
what's the difference between "run generator" from the sitemap reports and the cron job task? Some days ago the cron job stopped working properly, it only does 2 complete sitemap files, starts another one and stops. But if I manually start the process with the "run generator" link all the sitemaps are generated correctly. Is there a priority difference between the two? If so how do I change the cron job priority? Thanks. |
Question here: When i try to "Run Generator" for the first time, i'm getting tons of error, all looking something like this:
Warning: fopen(D:\Hosting\3077032\html\forum\vbseo_sitemap/data/progress.dat) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\Hosting\3077032\html\forum\vbseo_sitemap\vbseo_ sitemap_functions.php on line 1458 Any ideas? |

the other day and i have had this since i guess, Not sure if they didn't add a Apache handler for the file type or something else . here is a pic of whats installed on my Apache, my public directory and www is set to 755 can you see a problem with my Apache ? |
I've installed as noted. I've edited and added a password.
When I go to http://www.mysite.com/forums/vbseo_sitemap/ I get a "The requested URL /forums/vbseo_sitemap/ was not found on this server" I'm not exactly sure where I went wrong, but the vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap is working on my ACP. I just can't log in. Thanks Also- I'm not exactly sure if I had a .htaccess file previously. I've never uploaded one so I'm assuming that I don't. If I did however, could this be the reason I'm getting this error? Thanks!! |

Why is my runtime so high? You can also see it has stopped running daily, I would assume this is because it's taking 10 days to complete, this can't be normal, surely? I'm on 3.8.5. Thanks.

I have it set to VBSEO installed: No When I moved my VB folder to the root directory my site would no longer load. So I just moved it back and now it works fine. Could you clarify what you mean by that? Also, what do you mean that I'm showing it installed in the forum? Thanks!!! |
