look, if you would like to show team and league/tournament icons on your site, you should get permission from the league football/soccer association from that country or organizer of the tournament(fifa, uefa, etc..)

the law is, icons are under protection to trademark rule (please read full article on wikipedia)

Some Suggestions:
1. Members can choose which one will their bet such as only guessing winning team, goal score, or exact the match result
2. Members can placed their bet based on some certain of points
3. Using "Reputation Points" as a "Points for Betting" (e.g. = 5 Reputation = 1 Points)
4. Using "Post Count" as a "Points for Betting" (e.g. = 100 Posts = 1 Points)
5. Then, if they loosing bet very often, they run out the points then using Paypal to give more creadits to their Betting Points
(I would not recommended Paypal to do betting in REAL MONEY but only for points ^^)
6. Top 10 of the Month maybe gained more points and new title or awards title that would be great ^_^

Hey, I still have teh same question as before!

I saw you put pictures up of the world cup 06 mod, and it shows that from the 2nd round on, we only have the choice of putting the score but the problem is that if the teams tie they go to penalties!!

Can you explain how the penalties work from 2nd round on please, I need to write the rules for my page and I have no idea how it works!!!

I personally wouldn't worry about penalties and just do it as an end result. makes it far easier and less hassle.

so what happens if he wants to put a tie in the 2nd round? I guess he cant?
and also what happens if he puts a team wins 3-2 but they won 6-5 in penalties?

The tie goes into the second round automatically when the result is known.

I'd personally let AA_ work that one out, They have done a great job of it so far, so I for one, although I've donated am quite happy to let AA_ work at their own speed making it better for everyone who uses it.

So if I put a game ended 1-1 in the 2nd round, then a team wins in penalties or extra time, will this player get the 5 points because he guessed they would tie in the 90 minutes?

the game is over when it's over. this is not always after 90 minutes.

example:

world cup 2006, (final) Italy - France ---> 1:1 (a-e-t), pen. 5:3 ----> 6:4 <---- vbsoccer :)

in a co-game set on a tie is stupid.

So you would be able to do it on Penalties then AA_?

Yes, Im asking for an option because I want to run the world cup with my friends only!

On the match preview screen where you can put the scores of the game of all the leagues, can you add a small number next to each team so we know what place they arecurrently in the league?

So, for example if Man Utd beat Bolton 0-2 and you put 1-3 as your bet... you'd get the points for this because the difference between 0-2 and 1-3 is 2 goals? If so, I'm not really sure I'd want that, so I'd just set it as 0 to disable it, right?

Would there be a way to also do a first scorer as well.. or would that be too difficult?
