works great here.

Popa Andrei 05-29-2011 09:08 PM

is there a way to exclude o forum id to show the subforums?

EDIT: even better would be to make the category forums not to be shown in the subforum colum. That is more exactly what i want.Anyone knows how to do this?

voter 06-04-2011 10:17 AM

Works on 4.1.3 but conflicts with mobile style.

NPGamers.Net 06-04-2011 02:52 PM

Great mod. I've got a question though.

In the "Last Post" column, I'd like to hide the last post made in any of the Sub Forums, and ONLY display the last post preview made in the Forum itself.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

Great...thankyou

Khriz 06-25-2011 11:13 PM

malfunctions when displaying subforums
when entering a category to see the forum and its subforums
mismatch of all need an update and review

MonkYZ 06-29-2011 05:30 PM

Excelent mod! Can you please add an option so that we can display the Forum Description for Sub-Forums? They look very dull otherwise :)

Also, it would be really great if in the right side (where the last post is shown) there would be an option to display the last 2-3-4 posts, instead of just one. Because that area gets so empty if we have multiple sub-forums... and it only displays one last post for 20 sub-forums.

Ah, and i noticed one more thing that should be available. Displaying Sub-Forums order. Now they are ordered by row... it should be an option to order them by column.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

I have a problem with this mod in 4.1.4 in forum URL, see in the attach.

mark99 07-11-2011 08:54 AM

Another call for this excellent mod to be updated for 4.1.4 and the format bugs.

Meanwhile, are there any alternative mods that do the same thing?

haidm 07-12-2011 02:58 AM

bump.

nezr 07-13-2011 03:40 AM

wildheart 07-13-2011 09:30 AM

Thank you this was user friendly, perfect for a newcomer to the software like me. Running 4.1.4 and clicked installed.

I have just read the whole thread and see no solution for this. Unless you mean uninstall and use the CSS code version.

hoodoola 07-15-2011 01:50 PM

i have 4.14 too, so far no problem

Hello,
I tried installing this in my dev env and find that there is some misalignment in the sub forum lisitings.

Refer screen shots marked with red call out and red arrow.
Attachment 131729

In this picture, the second column sub forum listing starts a line below than that of the first column listing.

Attachment 131730

The sub forum listing is not lining up correctly.

Let me know how to fix this.

togotutor 08-09-2011 12:21 AM

Great mod. Installed.

Fraxter 08-15-2011 08:46 AM

Quick fix for the mobile style issue:

Go to: Plugin & Products --> Plugin Manager
Search the plugin: "VSa - Sub-Forum Manager - FB"

Search:
PHP Code:

if ($vbulletin->options['vsasfm_enable'] AND ($vbulletin->options['vsasfm_coltarget']>0))

Replace with:
PHP Code:

if ($vbulletin->options['vsasfm_enable'] AND ($vbulletin->options['vsasfm_coltarget']>0) AND ($vbulletin->userinfo['styleid'] != XX))

Note: XX have to be your mobile style id!

Think Valter will update this addon soon.

dgparent 08-18-2011 12:08 AM

I installed this and my child forums still look like the default ?

kfyonur 09-08-2011 05:11 AM

please read carefully..

Notes:
-To get this product working you must set "Depth of Sub-Forums" to "1" in vBulletin Options > Forum Listings Display Options
-To set product options go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > VSa - Sub-Forum Manager

Jonm 09-29-2011 09:34 AM

nice mod

ultimategeek 10-01-2011 07:36 AM

many thanks for this mod

djbaxter 10-01-2011 03:55 PM

This add-on messes up the styling for the new mobile style (4.1.6) a little bit, but at least the mobile style is usable. The other major sub-forums manager makes the mobile style unusable - you get a blank page for the home page.

wat3v3r 10-08-2011 07:44 PM

Indeed it completely breaks the Mobile style in vb4.1.7 now.

Edit: Nvm found the fix

Can you post the fix so if anyone else has the same problem we can try what you did?

djbaxter 10-08-2011 10:03 PM

This add-on is not what's breaking the mobile style in 4.1.7.

The best thing about Valter's mod is that there's nothing to upload... which is just a pain :D
