if you have your own image resizer then you should disable mine in the Garage Image Settings tab. You can also set the rel word used. If you create a signature record but don't upload an image, that's the default no image pic. You can replace it with your own.

Leveecius 04-29-2010 10:41 AM

I can't upload images for my garage. This is what it says

balt.jpg - Error: Image could not be moved.

All settings are correct.

Trumpetrhapsody 04-29-2010 09:05 PM

My members are having issues uploading images as well, but in this case it seems the pictures are requiring a size limit other than what is advertised. I haven't looked into it yet, but some users also are just sent to a blank page when they try to upload.

customcolor 04-30-2010 03:58 AM

have you guys looked into the options and set the pics to auto resize to the desired size or do you have it set up for deny?

Trumpetrhapsody 04-30-2010 12:03 PM

It is set to resize on mine.

Sixes 04-30-2010 02:02 PM

Is this 100% for 4.0.3?

Look like a great mod to use

Is the images/garage/attach set to 777? If it isn't try that. If it is 777 and you are still having the problems, see if your host has safe_mode enabled for your site.

Also make sure you are using the image sizes for the type of permissions you are using in the Garage General Settings tab. If you are using Basic permissions the image size is set different then the Advanced image size. The reason being, Basic permissions all groups have the same image size. Advanced permissions each group can have their own image size.

I'm away from home on holidays so I haven't tested it yet on 4.0.3 but I haven't heard of any issues with it yet.

McAtze 05-03-2010 04:39 PM

Usually that's a conflict with another script that does a lot of javascript rewrites inline. Check what other mods are running at the same time as the garage, things like a chatbox and such, need to be disabled on the garage pages.

customcolor 06-09-2010 01:48 AM

i bet it may be the site counter i have on the site now...its in the nav bar template...

how would i disable it in garage?

It depends on the mod. Can you give me the link to it? I'll download it and see what I can do.

AllenMead 06-09-2010 02:59 PM

I cannot get the 'vb_pro_garage_language_english.xml' file to import in 4.0.3 - any ideas?

Make sure you are doing it in the right location, Languages and Phrases and not Products.

Here are the install instructions
http://www.vbprogarage.com/forums/do...ion_script.htm

I need to update the screenshots but the process is still the same :)

its not a mod really...just a 3rd party hit counter that i added from http://www.statcounter.com/ its a good free (up to the last 500 hits logged more logged hits cost money) hit counter/tracker i have seen in a wile.

i believe if you click on the numbers on the hit counter you can see our stats as a guest......to see it live on our site go to... http://www.foxvalleyreefclub.com/forums/forum.php (the garage has ben renamed as tank bios)

Do you have a test account I can use? I looked at it in IE7 and refreshed 10 times without getting the error. It might be something else that only registered users see.
You can also log out and view the garage and see if it still gives the error. I see the page counter and it's not giving me an error as unregistered.

Dylanblitz 06-09-2010 06:49 PM

hmm, I'm still not seeing a problem with IE8, looked it up on my other machine that has Windows 7 and refreshed 10 times, no error.

EDIT:
Can you PM me a list of the mods you have installed? I'll take a look and see if there's anything I think would conflict.

Hiya,

Good to see this for VB4 :)

New additions to my garage have images pulling correctly, but none of the old images for the old cars are working (yet)

www.fiat-scotland.com (garage link is in the top navbar)

I've tried going into settings and rebuilding the images/orphaned images and get the following (I get more than this, Ive just copied for a sample)

Rebuilding Images - Attach ID 0 to 25

Warning: imageistruecolor(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in [path]/admincp/garage_manage.php on line 465

Warning: imagecreate() [function.imagecreate]: Invalid image dimensions in [path]/admincp/garage_manage.php on line 469

Warning: imagecopyresampled(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in [path]/admincp/garage_manage.php on line 477

Warning: imagedestroy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in [path]/admincp/garage_manage.php on line 482

Warning: imagedestroy(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in [path]/admincp/garage_manage.php on line 494
Remade thumb image images/garage/attach/6/6/9/garage_vehicle-1-12477045091_thumb.jpg

Warning: imageistruecolor(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in [path]/admincp/garage_manage.php on line 532

Any help appreciated :)

Dylanblitz 06-10-2010 03:01 PM

What version of GD do you have? You can tell by looking at your phpinfo in the ACP.
It sounds like you have an old version of GD but it's trying to use GD2.

EDIT:
Also, can you check your images directory (images/garage/attach) and tell me if all the images are in there or if they are separated out into their own folders?

GD / GD2?

The images..they're in the same directory, I checked that against an earlier post you made in this thread.

Go to the ACP
Maintenance->View PHP Info

About 1/3 of the way down you'll see the gd info with the GD Version.

As far as the images, they need to be split into their own directories depending on the owners userid. That is the most likely reason for the errors.

Run the attached script from your acp, it should move all the ones it can match up. You might have to run it multiple times if it times out.

It will remove the old image so you might want to backup the attach folder.

Martyn1983 06-11-2010 05:47 AM

GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)

Going to try and run that .php repair file in a sec, see if that helps - indeed it seems to have, most of the cars now have corresponding pics again! Thanks very much!!

I'd just like to say installed and loving it! A fantastic addition to our forum!

Thank you! :)

Silly question, but in the garage_directory.php file, you have to edit where the forum is.

If the forum is located at for instance forum.com/forum

What is the full path I have to use?

Thanks

This is only needed if you are going to run the garage outside of the forum directory.
So if you have http://www.mysite.com/forum and you want to run it at http://garage.mysite.com or http://www.mysite.com/garage then you need to fill that out.
If you do want to run it like that, you need the absolute path to the forum. You can get it by logging into
ACP->Maintenance->View PHP Info

Find the variable: SCRIPT_FILENAME

The value will be something like
/home/mysite/public_html/forum/admincp/index.php
if you are on a linux system.

The value you need to put in the $forum_directory variable would be
/home/mysite/public_html/forum/

Hope that answers it for you :)

Sixes 07-04-2010 05:16 AM

Externally? Umm no. It all in the one spot.

Next Q I have is the files in the .zip, do they get uploaded into the directories listed or do I upload the whole lot into one folder and go from there?

Im a little confused with that. And yes, this is my first forum :)

If you are running it in the forum directory then you don't need to modify the directory file.

Everyone had their first forum once :)
You can upload it all at once into the forum directory. It will just add the files to the folders and not get rid of the files currently there.
So you don't need to go into the upload/admincp directory and ftp to the admincp directory to move just those files. You can move them all at once.

Once you move the files and install the package, make sure you do the language as well. I have instructions posted here

http://www.vbprogarage.com/forums/do...ion_script.htm

Sixes 07-04-2010 05:34 AM

Much appreciated! Thanks
