Tell you what Valter, if you can give us a clue on how to fix this, I would be glad just to modify the mod and not worry about the bundle being upgraded.

and there is a problem when posting people name if they use alt symbols in there name

This created a thread today for me, but instead of the 26th, it said my birthday was the 25th???

This is an awesome mod! The only thing that would make it better would be allowing selection of the Post Icon. On our forums we have special icons for birthday greetings (a cake) and I can't see an option to select that with this mod. Great work though! Will try it out!

Any word on how this is doing wth 4.1.5PL1?

Do you use a specifc account to post birthday greetings and if so, is this the only thing that account is used for? If so you could add a conditional to the template so that if a specific user was the poster, then your cake post icon would be used.

Of course it would be nice to have the option added to this mod, but the above is a manual way to get it done in the meantime.

Unfortunately it did the same thing others mentioned...it posted a day early. =( I must remove for now. Fix that and add the ability to select a post icon and I would donate.

its just stopped working altogether for me.. one day it was working the next it wasn't, checked all the settings and nothings changed?

This hack is working just fine. If there is something fishy going on it's most probably on your own server or vB install with all the hacks you have installed. There's a lot of folks that have installed xxx hack on the same hook and are wondering why it doesn't work. It's not this hack that is causing the problem. It's probably you.....

I installed it tonight on vb 4.1.3 and it ran before midnight and before the regular cron that updates the birthday at the bottom of the forum. I installed it about 10:30 CDT and about 11:30 I noticed the first post. It posted the persons birthday with the wrong date. If the before mentioned person whom posted could point me at which of the 18 pages to look at for the cure that would be nice. I am not saying it doesn't work I am just saying it's posting the birthday post on the wrong date.

I quit being lazy and found kras's fix on page 13. I am going to upload it and give it a try.

Tried this already :happybday: which is the replacement text for an animated birthday gif. Waiting to let it run again. No one had a birthday in the last two days. I am waiting for it to run by itself without forcing it by adding a new user. :D

Works great now with three smilies. Fires off automatically after 12:00pm just like it's susposed to.

Yeah, I installed the fix too and am still having issues.

I have disabled it on mine until a solid fix and been made.

What's your time/date settings?

Style & Language settings is set = English (24 hour time)

AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Date and Time Options > Format For Date

It should be something like: d-m-y

so that value is

m-d-Y

Great Mod! I added it just in time for my Son's B-day, installed fine no problems and I am using 4.1.10

I have the same problem that many people have, in my Date and Time Options i have
"d-m-Y" for date and "H:i" fot time.

The problems is this: When i change that options, they change in the VSA Chatbox, and not works in the Auto Birthday Greeter. (This systems post like %d and not the date)
When i change that options for function with Auto Birthday Greater, they not show in VSA Chatbox.

I can do it work in one script or in the other, but not in the two at the same time.
Any idea?

This does absolutely nothing on my forum... tried the fix in the comments, and still nothing.. didn't work with 4.1.10, still doesn't work with 4.1.11.. uninstalled, and reinstalled.. still nothing..
