Here are my stats from when the mod was installed till now, i'll post again in a few days when my missing pages are reindexed , you can see it builds up then starts on a rapid decline as google realise whats going on, you can see it builds up then starts on a rapid decline as google realise whats going on, i'm not trying to belittle the creatore work or anything, just saying i tried it and it didn't work for me, i would have actually made a donation to the creator if it did work for me but it just give me a short term gain then worked against me, i check my indexed urls every 3 - 4 days and google have only recently taken action, the fact that my pages are being immediately reindexed as soon as i dissable this mod tells me that it was the cause

I am a bit amazed VBSEO and this MOD have been .. mentioned in the same thread, with accusation of this mod being a culprit for page index sandboxing, of sorts.
When clearly if you look at VBSEO relevant replacement tag options, it offers something somewhat identical. Not sure how the damage of page rank, and index assasination by search engines, can be attributed to one without the other. Perhaps some smart arse can explain, as it seems to me all this mod does is display the referral keywords used to get to the page, which I cannot see harms the page. |

Well maybe if you worked at google you would be assessing this situation much differently if you noticed a site displaying the exact search terms used to reach the site in question, noticing that the terms weren't there before a user searched google to get there and then suddenly after a search was made voila, there they are (which they probably have a system to detect this with). What would you think about this?

Last traffic update. Hopefully the site doesn't get banned at google. The past two years the site averaged a steady 500/visits day but right after installing this it almost doubled. I also updated to 4.0 about the same time so, there's that possible influence.

I'm also seeing no Homepage Statistics, Forum Display Statistics. I only have 4 Show thread terms statistic.

I think I have a problem. If you google fpv.no you'll find my page. you can click on "fpv.no/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?1-Main-Category" and get straight to the forum. the search word "fpv.no" will now stand under "Visitors found this page by searching for:" but when clicking "home" and "forum" again the search word is gone. What have I done wrong?

The funny thing is, I keep installing this mod, only to uninstall it a few days later. Its a great mod and everything, except it has that SEO Forums on every page next to the landing keywords. Wouldn't it be better to put that outgoing link at the bottom?
It's just like in the middle of my site and probably sends more outgoing traffic than I would like/ is a link way to visible in the middle of my forums of every page. Good idea, but it still benefits your site way more than it would benefit our sites with that link location and keywords for your site. Waiting to see other options |

Yeah I don't think I'm going to use this until there is no link added. It's purely just a way for the developer to get more traffic to his site. It's not really working all that well on my site either. I saw a boost for one day in search engine traffic then it tailed off right away. So that might or might not have been a coincidence.
Sorry developer, just don't like the fact your link it showing up in my descriptions on google. It seems you're just trying to gain your PR through this modification. |

TO THE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT ATTRIBUTION LINKS: This plugin is provided for free, to help increase your long tail SEO traffic, and it does what it says on the tin. Now that Ive been testing it on my board for a month (and change) its increased my long tail quite significantly - my only condition for you guys to use it for your own benefit is the link back to my site, which is either in your footer, or in the tag cloud itself. If you are NOT happy with that condition (and lots of plugins do this) then dont use it! its quite simple! Certainly not real results that it tells me. Says position in Google "2" then i search that keyword, it doesn't show up.

Just a short note.
As mentioned in a few posts here and over at vbseo.com I had some doubts about this mod and the risk of being banned from major SE for generating keywords. I installed this mod 3 weeks ago and had no significant visitor boosts by now. Quite a bit, but nothing really important. ´til Monday my site was listed in big G with over 200.000 pages. Since tuesday I´m at 13.000. I can´t tell wether Google has identified my site as a keyword landing page cause of this mod or if there are other reasons for this. But I would recommend that you all keep that in mind. You never know. I´ll keep the mod until end of the week to see if Google is just doing nasty things or kicking me for a looong time into the second cache. I´ll update this info as soon as I have some news to tell. Anyone else experiencing something like that ? |
as mentioned over at vbseo.com as well, this plugin is in use in over 5,000 websites - I personally run it on about 60 websites and have never had a problem.
The stats on my board are that long tail queries have increased by around 75% since I installed it. All SEO strategies should be thought out, and a great example is the discussion about this plugin that I link to in my main MOD description area over at seoMoz, where there are nearly 100 comments about it, and its effectiveness. Basically, I trust it, and I am a full time SEO (check my bio). |
