I've noticed a bug on 4.1.3. If the message takes longer to post (for example if you have multiple URL's inside your post), it's auto creating a double post divided by the automerge line. Probably because the forum is trying to get all URL titles, it takes a while... and the Doublepost Prevention consider it as multiple post or something :)

I hope this can be fixed. Thanks!

P.S. In the attached screenshot you can see a sample. I only posted once but appearead as double post merged. Tested again and it happened the same.

i have the same problem. it duplicates the original post, adds the new content then adds another reply.

Running vBulletin 4.1.3 ?

I just noticed in the last few days that the "Quick Reply" button seemed to be not working any longer, or acting weird? If I enter any text in the quick reply box and hit the "Quick Reply" button, it just sits there with a spinning wheel saying "Posting Quick Reply .. Please Wait"

It appeared to be a problem in all forums ...

What's interesting is that if I simply scrolled up (even though "Posting Quick Reply .. Please Wait" message was still active), then selected the thread again, the post had been accepted and went through, so it was as if the quick reply routine had stopped returning to displaying the thread after it was done.

Anyway, I had a vBulletin programmer diagnose the problem. He found that Doublepost Prevention v4.1.2, which I had updated to a few days from v4.1.0, was preventing the Post Quick Reply function from working properly. He disabled it and the Post Quick Reply function started working again fine.

Since I knew that v4.1.0 of Doublepost had been working fine, I went back and re-installed that older version. I then re-enabled it and tested the Post Quick Reply function again?. it's working again !!!! :up:

So, I think there's a problem with vb4.1.3 and Doublepost v4.1.2 (possibly 4.1.1), at least when it's running on my system. Perhaps these later versions weren't designed to run on the older 4.1.3, as the description says for 4.1.4? :confused:

I post this experience for anyone else who might be seeing a similar problem. :)

Regards,
Doug

Yep, you are correct.

Unfortunately, due to javascript changes for CKE & Autosave, this will not work correctly on pre 4.1.4 forums. Settings & dependancies updated

danswano 07-09-2011 01:06 PM

Can you provide us with the latest working version for Pre 4.1.1, i'm using VB 4.1.3PL1

Paul M 07-09-2011 02:42 PM

I dont normally provide older versions of my products, only the current version.

If I have time, I'll see if I can dig it out of my archive, alternatively, if someone else wants to upload v4.1.0 to a post, they are free to do so.

Hi there,

Can someone help me?

I am having trouble creating a post/thread via vbulletin mobile android app that I bought as a suite. I noticed the plugin is causing the problem.

Can you help to teach me how to add the code below?

Code:

if (!VB_API)
                {
insert plugin code here
}

But how to insert and where?

Paul M 08-05-2011 10:29 AM

[11-Sep-2011 19:59:36] PHP Fatal error:  require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '/home/laquint4/public_html/board/clientscript/ckeditor/ckeditor_php5.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/laquint4/public_html/board/vb/ckeditor.php on line 13

Paul M 09-11-2011 09:31 PM

That error has nothing to do with this, you seems to be missing ckeditor files. I suggest you re-upload all your files.

War Machine 09-13-2011 11:07 PM

Ok, i have copied clientscript folder again and now it works, but, a user today, have add another post in her topic, and it have created a new post!
In options tab, i've set minutes to 4000 (for 3 days about), but it work in some cases. Why?

CountRock 09-24-2011 03:11 AM

Paul M 10-04-2011 09:49 AM

TheSSDReview 10-05-2011 02:32 AM

imranbaig 10-13-2011 12:48 AM

4.1.5 Internal Server Error, Upgrading the Forum to 4.1.7 to see if it works.

vanquish.securi 10-13-2011 02:29 AM

Works great on vB 4.1.7 default template. Much needed. Marked install, nominated, 5 star.

DragonMasterNYC 10-14-2011 01:44 PM

I have one small suggestion, could we get an option to always merge the post if we don't want to deal with the time limit. I've had a few instances that the system doesn't merge post even though I've set the time to 99999999... Any help to solve this problem is much appreciated.

Thanks ahead of time
Dragon

Paul M 10-14-2011 02:37 PM

Thats probably because one of them had attachments, not the time limit.

Paul M 10-16-2011 12:22 PM

Version number updated to be consisteant with other updates.
