any idea when this will be updated?

Thanks!

abualk 02-01-2010 07:33 PM

Do you want this award to be shown in postbit?
Can you add this option in award options?

If you don't want it displayed, make the award Inactive.

When I can get around to finishing up the automation system. I've been busy this past week and haven't had time to do much of anything with it.

I want it to be displayed in user profile but I don't want it to be shown in postbit. "I want this option to be available for every award"

thank you, my mods are screaming for it. :)

I am just about to upgrade my forums form 3.8.4PL2 to v4.0.1 I am running YAAS 3.8.

I have downloaded the latest version.

I am unable to find a recomended install/upgrade process.

I am hoping not to have to reissue the awards to my members; but have them migrate over with the upgrades.

As best I can glean, I disable YAAS 3.8, upgrade the forums to 4.0.1, & then install YAAS 4. Is this correct?

RollaJedi 02-04-2010 06:06 PM

I've heard that there will be awards automatically issued to people based on criteria met, which is basically your site looking for specific integers, like post count.

So, does will this mean we could possibly do our own criteria based awards that would automatically be issued based on an integer inside the a users profile or actions on other various mods?

Specifically speaking, I'm thinking of the arcade mod. Whereas if a user were to gain a high score, which would be an integer entered into the database that the award program could point to, that user would automatically get an award?
Something like this would unlock so many possibilities for this mod. It would be awesome if you might have something like this planned. Please LMK.
Thank you!

When I click on the awards tag I get a very long page of this:

This is on an 3.8.4.2 upgraded to 4.0.1 forum. With YAAS 3.8 disabled then upgraded to download of YAAS today. PHP 5.2.10 MySQL 5.1.37

Everything else YAAS wise works fine.

Any news on update?

wolfyman 02-08-2010 09:58 PM

the author said in a PM to me that he doesn't care about his reputation here or this mod.

Good luck getting support from him.

Too bad, too - this is one of the few I would have paid for. No way am I going to send any kind of support to someone who makes promises they can't keep and then can't even be polite about it.

If people can't understand that I have a busy schedule, oh well. What more can I say. I worked on the mod, I released the mod. I've released updates on the mod. I'm also working on more updates for it. I can't drop everything I'm doing just to work on a modification for vBulletin. Right now, vB is the last thing on my mind. If people base my reputation on here on what takes up my time in my personal life, then you can stick it someplace the sun don't shine for all I care right now.

If people want to think less of be because I'm not working 24/7 on this mod, and things end up coming up and it doesn't get released when I said I should have been able to, oh well, cry me a river. The updates I'm working on will get completed and will get released on here when they're are completed, and gone through some testing.

Don't like it? Don't use the mod. I also wish people on here would go back to first grade and learn how to READ and stop asking the same questions over and over again and insisting on flooding my PM box with nothing but feature requests when I've already stated BUG FIXES ONLY.

So to any of those who are unhappy with the support, and the fact that I have other things going on right now and can't work solely on this mod, then delete it, and don't use it. Simple as that.

Now, for those of you who are being patient, unlike others, I do appriciate the feedback on the mod, both positive and negative. When I have some spare time, I will work on this mod. It is still supported, I'm not going to give up on this mod.

molieman 02-08-2010 10:19 PM

I'm happy with the mod and appreciate your efforts.

Thank you!!!

Hey there, CypherSTL. :)

I know you're looking for bug fixes only at the moment. Not sure whether this comes under that, but I thought I'd give the suggestion anyway.

Is there anyway I could left align the awards with the rest of the text in the postbit? I am using Style 2, which as you know doesn't have a border. I just wanted to make them all align towards the left (red line)...thought it would give a neater look. (Please see screenshot below).

What sort of edit would I have to make, just in case you wouldn't like to make this change in the actual mod? :)

Thanks.

ndut 02-14-2010 02:37 PM

can i remove point below number of awards, in awards showcase??? how?

FlameGun 02-14-2010 06:14 PM

Please add an option to mass give awards.

Pro-eSports.com 02-14-2010 09:32 PM

Can someone tell me where the category titles show up? In the example below the title is "Post Count" but it only shows the description on the awards page (picture 2).

Great mod, and great support!

I'll 2nd and 3rd the ideas for automation and mass awards by usergroup or userid.

I also saw that someone mentioned stacking awards; that could be very helpful for time-based awards. Intead of awarding one 10-point award for x number of posts and one 20-point award for y number of posts, you could just have a single 10-point award that gets awarded repeatedly and stacks so it doesn't take up the whole postbit.

My one other request for the future would be a way to integrate a user's total points into other areas of vBulletin, namely Ranks & Titles. Compared to some other forums I've used, I'm disappointed with the lack of flexibility in vBulletin's Ranks system. Being able to make a user's Rank based (in whole or in part) on his total award points would be fantastic!

Thanks again for all your hard work!

Bouncer222 02-16-2010 04:12 PM

Did the update to automaticallly give awards for like certain X days of being a member ever come out?

uslanmaz 02-16-2010 04:20 PM

Tahnk you for the modul. It is really nice.

But there is an error. How can I fix the problem ?

alawee.blawee 02-17-2010 02:36 AM

i think this mod needs some modifications to fit in the 4.0.2

ndut 02-17-2010 03:41 AM

update, please... :)

wolfyman 02-17-2010 08:43 AM

Jan 29 (18 days ago) the author was having car problems.

Feb 1 he says he'll get to it "when I get around to...."

Feb 8 (9 days ago) the author said he didn't care about supporting this mod, and also doesn't care about his reputation here. He has a busy schedule, you know?

We haven't heard from him since then... I think it's safe to say "User Beware", first of all - it's apparent that the author is unreliable or has no desire to support this.

Second, I'm officially unsubscribed from this thread. It had a lot of potential and I would happily have paid the author to help me with it, but at this point it's not worth risking the integrity of my forum on it.

Good luck.

sticky 02-17-2010 10:06 AM

Ugh, well if this has some issues is there an alternative? I really would like something like this.

Alien 02-17-2010 03:52 PM

Can anyone confirm this working with 4.0.2?

molieman 02-17-2010 04:07 PM

One of few that DOES work :)

RK1gaming 02-17-2010 04:11 PM

yes so far working with 4.0.2 and yes few that do work ... dam update screwed my skins up and some of my mods

RollaJedi 02-17-2010 04:14 PM

hey wolfie, leave the dude alone. He doesnt get paid to do this and obviously he's a busy person, much like the rest of us. If I knew how to help speed up the process, i would, but i can't, and obviously you can't either. Maybe your best contribution would be to stop being a jack-hole and be patient like the rest of us. Hopefully your remarks won't influence his decision to just stop working on the mod, period.

Where can I remove the "Awards" link from the navigation tab?

There is an option in the Awards System settings. Or, you can go into the Plug-in manager and disable the plugin that adds the link.

uslanmaz 02-18-2010 10:11 PM

I couldn't change the title "Awards" whichone is in the MemberInfo Tabs.

How can I change it ?

Cadellin 02-18-2010 10:28 PM

Great mod but two requests:

1. To be able to give an award to all members of a usergroup at the time of awarding.

2. Automated awards e.g. on usergroup joining, being registered for "x" days, reaching "y" posts, award to group on date "x" repeated every "y", having "z" points etc....

My forum header is missing on the awards page with 4.0.2: http://flotgaming.net/forums/awards.php

I have cron mobule that works almost like you want. It will give award to member of usergroup if member was in usergroup more 300 days(for example).

Add php script to the folder inculdes/cron/
Then in Scheduled Tasks Manager create task to perform this script at 6:00 am each day. It must be perform only 1 time per day.
Also you must create column with name daysin in user tab in MySQL database.

You must know usergroup IDs, that members you want to reward. You can see it in Usergroup Manager in Admin Pannel.
You must know reward ID that you want to reward users. You can see it in MySQL database in awarad Tab(don't remember name of tab exactly) My award has id 5 ($medal_id=5)
daysin >= 300 it means after how many days user will get award

PHP Code:

<?php
error_reporting
(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);
if (!
is_object($vbulletin->db))
{

log_cron_action('FAILED: vbulletin->db is not an object'$nextitem);
 exit;
}

$db=$vbulletin->db;

$db->query_write("DELETE FROM award_user WHERE award_id=5");

//ID of usergroups, members of that usergroups that you want to reward

$db->query_write("
 UPDATE user SET daysin = daysin + 1
 WHERE usergroupid !=6
 AND (membergroupids LIKE '%74%' OR membergroupids LIKE '%19%')
 "
);

//users will get awards after 300 days of membership, except administrator usergroup(id=6)

$users $db->query_read("
 SELECT `userid`,`joindate`,`posts`
 FROM `user`
 WHERE usergroupid !=6
   AND daysin >= 300
"
);
 while (
$user $db->fetch_array($users))
 {

$medal_id=5;

$db->query_write("
    INSERT INTO award_user
    VALUES (NULL ,"
.$medal_id.",".$user['userid'].",'More 300 days membership', UNIX_TIMESTAMP() )");
 }
log_cron_action('Awards update complete'$nextitem);
?>

i hope it will help

adevelop 02-20-2010 07:28 PM

Nice mood! Today I check for SQL queries - more than 50 (one for every award).
This repeats:
Code:

SELECT a.*, au.*
FROM award a, award_user au
WHERE (au.userid = 3) AND (a.award_id=au.award_id) AND (a.award_active=1)
ORDER BY issue_time desc

Is it ok or I do something wrong?))

Verionia 02-21-2010 09:38 PM

This doesn't seem to work with vbseo. When I click on my awards I get this message:
This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view.

Boko577 02-21-2010 10:47 PM

This doesn't allow people to request and recommend awards. One of my members posted up a video to prove it, that it doesn't work. here is the video in case you need to watch it.http://vimeo.com/9616227
